He can just lay their, not turning his screws and unless he messed up we would NOT know where he was. WE ALWAYS wanted to know where they were. No problem, in confuse easy.

My son, who sailed on boomers including the Alabama, said that was one of the sillyest movies EVER made about subs. The subjockeys used to watch it for the "comedy". I too know what a joke it was. Good for the action and escape from reality, nothing more. My son also served on the Kentucky.

When we visited him we were blessed to SEE and BOARD the Alabama and see the Michigan in dry dock. I have GREAT respect for those guys after having been on board that boat. I was also impressed with the RESPECT shown to me for MY service and support to the boomers mission. It was humbliing. What was even MORE humbling was TOUCHING the silo, knowing what was just INCHES away from my hand and knowning what my MISSION used to be involving those VERY missles.
