What is the upper limit for the Cascadia Evolution with a DT12 transmission in Fuel Mileage?

Henry finally breaks the 11 MPG barrier with a loaded trailer driving 62 mph. Beat a lot of straight trucks for fuel mileage.

Very impressive.
however, time is running out to buy a new truck if fuel millage is on someones mind.
all industry reports suggests that EOM's WILL meet the new 2018 fuel requirements. when that's happened, no later then 4 years from now, current trucks will have a real hard time competing in the market place.
then there's always the question whether pre 2018 trucks will even be allowed to run it's full lifespan.

Moose I talked to Henry Albert and he had some comments

By default a older truck will not be competitive with a new truck such as the 2014 Cascadia Evolution. If you had a 1968 model truck it is obsolete compared to what you would have in the late 1980's. As things improve things become obsolete. Same could be said for old biased ply tires as they cannot compete with modern radials.

The truck Henry is driving should still be competitive in 2018.

Where are you getting your information Moose? Not finding anything saying that the older trucks will not be able to be driven, they might not be as profitable.
