It was 100 years ago today that the "White Hurricane" hit the Great Lakes. It was the worst storm on the Great Lakes ever recorded by man. It sunk 12 ships and killed 250 people. The "Gales of November" are often bad on the Lakes, it is bad out there today but nothing like it was 100 years ago. That day there were 80MPH winds, heavy snow and 36' waves out on Lake Huron.
