I get quite a lot of those. Unfortunately or fortunately this is normal for me. Nice loads pay wise but not enough of them to make a decent living. I've been hunting a bit longer runs lately as running around town is not easy and too many of these little jobs have too many problems (not ready, not per specs provided, no facility to unload at receivers end).

This actually brings up a good point. This is a Q to anyone who'd care to answer. Do these runs ever interfere w/ longer runs? While it's a sweet little run, in the end it's not a lot of $$$ total. If ya could get 2 or 3 per day obviously it would be a no brainer. Or if ya got it early in the day ya could be done quickly ya can have a chance at something else too.
If you're sitting at home & the little gem was more than likely going to be the only run that day.. like say ya get called for it at 7 AM but it's a 6PM pickup, would ya rather have a 10 miler for $140 or say a 600 mile run at your normal rate?
