    Reflective Tape

Ah he77, I give up. Nobody is ever right on here. You keep thinking what you like. It is the manufacturer who is responsible for it to be compliant. It may be your responibilty to make sure it is. But they know the reg's and built them to meet them. And no, you didn't hate to break the news...

    Reflective Tape

When something as common as a bass boat trailer is made by a manufacturer, a drawing of the lights, reflectors and tape has to be sent to DOT for their final approval. No matter what else fishermen may want on their trailer, they have to DOT compliant as far as the tape, lights and so on. All I...

    Reflective Tape

But manufacturers do the DOT compliance lights, tapes, reflectors and etc, not the dealer who sells the completed unit. I know what you are saying and understand your thoughts, but it is ashame we have to put up with this. Just like the guy who got ticket in Indiana for improper seat belt use...

    New Battery Bank

What I see when looking at his pictures is not how smart he is about all this battery wizardary, but how neat it all looks. And I know he probably hand crimped those cable connections hisself. To me, I see a work of art here. As someone stated above, turtle could make a living doing this.

    Reflective Tape

I stopped at an International truck dealership early this morning and looked at every new and used box truck on the lot. Not one had the L shaped tape at the top corners of the doors. My conclusion is that it is not in the book. If it was, the manufacturer would be putting it on. They did...

    why have threads

I think it was a thread "that broke the camels back", so, it should be able to direct a train. Ugh...what is banter???

    Reflective Tape

And I still say, If manufacturer didn't put it on there at the time it was built, why all of a sudden is it a violation if it isn't on there? They are required to make it DOT compliant when built. Just like Penske knows what is required and stands behind their vehicles. If they say it is not...

best diesel fuel selection( which brand)

Pilot fuel. Pilot coffee. My truck seems to have no problems with any of them. I will use Love's as second preference, if I have to. But truck burns all of them.

    best gas card

I started out using a Visa credit card. Only problem was that fuel island card reader where straight trucks fuel, don't accept them. Soooo, I was having to go inside and have pump turned on while all the trucks piled up waiting on me. Some places I could fuel where RV's fueled, but then I was...

    best gas card

I use Fleet One and am very happy with them. Is it the best one? I don't know as I have never used another one. I like them because they treat me just like I have a 100 trucks when I actually have only one. Plus, I can use them as an ATM to draw money out of my account. That saves those $3+ fees...

    new owner/operator

Well, I don't know what to tell you. I am an O/O of a straight truck. I was able to purchase truck straight out, so, I know nothing much about leasing one. It costs me $750 a year for registration, tags and IFTA sticker. My insurance is around $350 a month. Only other expense is my cell phone...

    new owner/operator

I don't think anyone here could answer these questions as there is so many variables not known. Every state has different fees, insurance based on driving history, value of truck, etc. You will have to find that out as you know what your needs are. As suggested by many on here (and you need...
