What happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370?

Headline actually appears to be misleading ... based on what is reported in the article: "The landing strips for airports in Diego Garcia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and India were among those found in the flight simulator programme taken from MH370 pilot Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah's home."

Rand Paul selling out social conservatives. No surprise.

I think that's true in the case of some of the polls cited ... but not all. Looks to me like the "OR" aspect is listed where appropriate (and absent where it isn't)

Rand Paul selling out social conservatives. No surprise.

Assuming the premise that "the South" is itself "conservative", it would appear that the premise highlighted in bold above is becoming less true over time. Either that or Southerners are becoming less "conservative": Judge calls Tenn. gay marriage ban historical 'footnote': Do Southerners now...

Rand Paul selling out social conservatives. No surprise.

Well that would obviously save all kinds of money ... so I suppose it could be thought of as striking a blow not only for social conservatism, but fiscal conservatism as well ... It's a twofer !

What happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370?

It appears that there is at least some possibility that it may be related to what is said to have been a politically motivated trial (resulting in conviction - which occurred the day before the hijacking) in Malaysia of a leader of the political opposition. One of the pilots was a supporter of...

Rand Paul selling out social conservatives. No surprise.

Maybe he will ... ;) (Let the gnashing of the teeth begin ...) And perhaps the socons can successfully purge the Republican party of that 61% of young Republicans who support gay marriage in principle, along with any older ones who do as well ... I'm not sure how great an electoral strategy...

    Saul Alinsky

You could infer that it is the "posited motive" (or "why") I guess ;) Nope - because the "where LOS' premise might be challenged" only qualifies the specific type of discussion to be avoided - and is not a posited actual, underlying reason or motivation for doing so ... Near as I can tell the...

In the line you (partially) quoted above, I didn't address the "why" - only the apparency of the "what" (what it appeared to be) I offered no reason or motivation as to why one would try "to avoid engaging in a detailed discussion where ... premise might be challenged."

    Saul Alinsky

Nope. Actually, I would say it's the postulation of how the appearance of an action might look to others (myself being an "other") ... and there is really no postulation as to what the actual motive might be, only speculation as to how such efforts might appear to others.
