    Rethinking 9/11, and other rants

You know Layout, I think that people can't get a grip on the fact that there are people in the middle east smarter than themselves and many college graduates here who are more than capable of putting some complex plan together and executing it. I think a lot of people here still think that those...

    Garden Corner 2011

It may be medication but what ever it is, I am in the at-risk group now and will be for the rest of my life. Well it was caused by two things, one was working on my truck where I got a bit tanned and the other was sitting in a folding chair for a couple hours with the sun against my back. I...

Did I say the word "expert"? Were did I ever say I'm an expert? Nope ... never did so stop saying I am. Get a grip and read what I said.

Well I mentioned H/W because they are the ones likely to do things together and want to be together, while just teams may not. Regardless how you want to cut it, the word NO needs to be added into the vocabulary of all teams and solos when it comes to sleep.

Republicans who think that "Most" Americans don't want taxes raised.

The GAO and the CBO both had reported that the surplus was a projection, not an actual surplus. The idea that there was or could be a surplus is highly suspect because of the way the budgeting process is done. Baseline Budgeting Makes Real Cuts Impossible in Washington It is like the BS line...

That's my point, how does one get to sleep by participating with the other one. I also think that when someone logs sleeper berth time and sits in the front seat, it is a problem brewing. Bad habits make for dangerous people.

I heavily dust and do it when it won't rain for a day or two. I am still having an issue with the burn, most of it is healed (sort of) but there are two spots that just hurt a lot and the doc said "well they will hurt a lot for a while so get used to it." My company was going to pull a FedEx...

I think here is a good point that makes yo an employee. when the owner questions your routing or anything that you do behind the wheel and wants you to drive a certain way, this can make you an employee.

I too have to seriously wonder about this. The problem that people don't seem to mention are this; what happens when the system can not pick up on the white lines? A lot of places we drive don't always have nice lines to follow. What happens with the repetitiveness of the alarm going off? I...

So was salt, actually salt was a currency long before gold was. Salt's importance in ancient times was higher than gold ever was. well that's true, it does not mold, or wash away but there isn't so much gold, we have a finite amount of it and on top of that, only a certain percentage of it...

Sorry but I had a bunch of people over tonight and they read through this thread and I thought they would p*ss their pants over what was said. 1 - I had a customer in WTC7, I worked with them in the late 90's on their disaster recovery plan. From the information, the tour of the building and...

yep they all do but the idea of having an age requirement is somewhat a stupid thing, seeing a few companies don't really care how old the truck/van is and do well enough without the babysitting mentality. But here is the thing, the RV world is a lot different than the trucking world. In the...

Well if you are going to go that route, I wouldn't even bother with any class 5/6 truck and just get into a real truck that will haul more. E450 = logging and why bother to deal with the 7 to 10 mpg in something that can only haul 4k?

I didn't say get a lawyer or anything like that, I asked what the contract says. If there is nothing about returning the truck, the contract can be terminated right there and the owner has to deal with it. Maybe a good solution is to have the carriers force the same requirements on their fleet...

    Real Money

Well let's see ... people who hold 'significant' amounts of gold are those who don't need to barter or need to worry, they have their own little escape plans and will be long gone if they can get out of the country. Those are a very small amount of people in our population - maybe less than 1%...
