In your opinion who are the 5 largest expedite carriers?

Maybe all their owner/operators went bankrupt but they still have their trucks registered to them

    Injury Liability

Ah, I also forgot about the neighbour's liability in this, whose dog was fertilizing the lawn. Come to think of it, that rake didn't have any big instructions posted on the blades listing eye poked-outedness as a possible side effect. Has anyone else experienced this problem, perhaps a class...

    60/40?/fair?

Dave, can you explain this? I believe Eric is talking about the driver's owing income tax. Are you talking about income tax or fuel tax in the paragraph above? If income tax, how do you figure the driver's don't have to pay income tax? I think Eric is saying his drivers appreciate the fact they...

    Injury Liability

I'm not the lawyer Greg is rightfully suggesting you talk to, but in this day and age where people seem to be lawsuit-happy, the owner of the truck could be sued, along with the carrier and anyone else they can drag into it in the hopes of getting money. I would think the truck owner's (the...

    60/40?/fair?

My pet peeve is when the owner of a business has to justify to his employees why he needs to make $X in gross revenue, even though the employee is only earning $x, in order to make his business worthwhile enough for him to remain in business, and thereby keep the employee employed. To me...

one week is all you got

Just a stab in the dark, each of the numbers will change for anyone, and the calculations will be more involved when you're estimating dh over 100, some people might be running more than 30% deadhead too, just thought it was kinda interesting how the 2 payplans could come out being similar-ish...

one week is all you got

    Say you're getting $1.30 + fsc of.. .40 = $1.70 loaded You drive loaded 70% of the time, dh 30% of the time say you drive 114000 total miles, 79800 loaded and 34200 dh miles per year $1.70 x 79800 loaded miles/yr = $135660 or $0.92 + .40 (same fsc on loaded miles?) = $1.32 x 79800 loaded mi...

    60/40 revisited?

    60/40 revisited?

They get their 'peferred rate' after they put their money where their mouth is. I think it's just a known for small businesses, they aren't going to see the same perks as 'major' clients, which in turn, makes it even tougher for the small guy. Like they say.. the rich get richer.. and the poor...

    awesome

I have no idea how to post a picture within a post, I think I posted recently asking about that, but didn't get replies. If you 'insert image', looks like the image has to come from a website address, which.. what if you don't have one?
