    new Sprinter

Well, first thing you should do is insulate it like crazy. Plan on about 5 days to do it. Yeah, I know. Then consider a Fan-Tastic Fan Vent or some other type of air vent. Then concentrate on the freight side of things. E-Track, plywood deck. Do you want e-track on the walls? Carry a couple...

"...therefore, there was no invasion of privacy." Maybe not, but it sure violates the spirit of it. It is clear that he did not want his real name associated with that user name, for whatever reason. He certainly has that right. It's more than a little disturbing that a moderator would do this...

I dunno... unless hanceh's real name was already publicly available to all EO members, well... I mean, did Terry or another moderator, or moderators, do a little research and put the two together, and then post the name? Thaaaaaat's a dangerous slope. :'(

    Getting to the Expo

It's just a load. <shrug> There'll be more where that one came from. Other than when I took off to do the shelves and other stuff, I rarely am out of service and take time off. I figure the information and knowledge gained at the Expo will pay me back far more than running the 1472 miles would have.

    Getting to the Expo

A couple of days ago, when I was in SC, I mentioned to dispatch that I was planning on going to the Expo. Next day I got a load to Shelbyville, between Louisville and Lexington. Dropped off Thursday morning, and immediately got a load offer from Louisville to El Paso, pick up Thursday, deliver...

Which is more important, who wrote it, or what was written? If someone wants to post an opinion anonymously, that's their choice, and I'm sure they have their own reasons for doing so. IMHO, that doesn't make their opinion any less valid or unworthy of respect. I may not agree with your bumper...

As I have never even met him, far be it from me to speak for Terry, and I dare not presume to do so, but in all the reading that I have done on these boards, I cannot recall a single instance where Terry has actually defended anything his carrier has done or said. Above all else, IMHO, Terry...

    Nitrogen inflation improves tread life

Just found some good information here: http://www.getnitrogen.org They have some articles from various publications, as well as some videos that people should see. The videos are small, short, and one is of a Discovery Channel spot, and the others are of local news stories, one in Mentor and...

    Mexico-domiciled trucking companies Pilot Program

RE: Mexico-domiciled trucking companies Pilot Prog I saw one of them last week in Houston, on a tanker hauling flammable HAZMAT (didn't think to note the number), and another one 2 days ago on I-75 northbound in KY, a van trailer. It's my understanding that most (which may not be the case too...

    Airtabs on a van?

I ordered 40 of them. That will give me 3 or 4 (I think) extra to cover screw-ups and for spares. I ordered them on blind faith, because OVM told me to order that many. :) $100 plus $9.62 shipping (your shipping may vary).

    Nitrogen inflation improves tread life

Where can you take a truck to get nitrogen in the tires? You'd think there would be a Web site that lists all the places that cars and trucks can get nitrogen. But, no. And the larger fleets simply have their own nitrogen generators or fillers. There are many tire dealers that do truck and RV...

    Bye Bye Petro

Thanks for that information, Chuck. Great news, indeed. OVM, "I'd like to see that half shower credit also translate into a $3.50 cash + 1/2 credit= one shower" It does. Well, actually, it's $3.25 cash + 1/2 credit= one shower. Usually I have enough credits on there at any given time for a...

    Nitrogen inflation improves tread life

Yeah, the bottom line is, whether it's filled with air or nitrogen, a properly inflated tire will give better fuel economy and tread wear. However, there are a couple of important differences between tires properly inflated with nitrogen and those properly inflated with air. One is, nitrogen...

    Early or not

Well, of course, I was being a little facetious (absurd, actually), just pokin' and proddin' at a few to stir it up a little. I just kept reading always, always, always from people, who keep on tossing the word around as if they don't know what it actually means. Always always means always...

    First Poor Experience

Fuel prices are the same, cash or credit, however, if you do actually pay cash, they'll give you a discount. Just ask 'em. If you ask them why it costs more for credit card purchases, they'll tell you that is doesn't, but they will give you a cash discount. It's illegal to charge more for...

    Bye Bye Petro

I usually buy fuel at the J, cause they give me free showers. :) Being in a cargo van I'll never buy 50+ gallons in one whack. It's more like 20 or so, 25 max (26 gallon tank). Unlike the others, at the Flying J the gallons keep on adding up, 15 here, 20 there, 20 more down the road, and every...
