Its been crazy since the Expo, too. I want to say a great big THANK YOU for all the support given to the Great Lakes Convoy. For our first fund raising effort we did really well. Thanks to everyone who participated in the barbeque. The grillers did a great job getting everyone fed. Next...

Two years ago, as I prepared to deadhead from Memphis to Wilmington for the Expo, a forum member asked me, 'as a future owner/operator, how is it financially feasible to deadhead that far just to go to a truck show?'. After I was the lucky winner I had a good answer for him. :D Love my Espar :p

Went by today. Luckily I was driving a rental car instead of my truck, didn't need to fight the steering wheel to stay on the road. :D Get my truck out of the shop tomorrow. Time to go back to work for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to the family reunion (Expo). ;)

This time of year it's easy to find the small grills (either charcoal or propane). Then just go to the grocery store and let your imagination go wild. Remember, if you are craving something not normally grilled, foil is your friend. In a foil pouch put some beef stew meat, diced potatoes...

I hear that some people eat veggies. Wouldn't understand it myself. :o

Sure, this is Saturday evening, after the Expo. We expect food to start coming off the grills about 5 PM. The tent will be set up in the dirt lot, to the west of the Convention Center. Bring your appetite . . . and a dish to pass.

Since we are going to have the smoked brisket, this will be an opportunity to show off your "world famous secret recipe" BBQ sauces. :D

All these recent threads about money are making me hungry. Actually, just waking up makes me hungry, but I'll use any excuse. ;) It's almost time for the 2nd Annual EO Expo BBQ. Once again EO is generously donating burgers, brauts, hotdogs, buns, condiments, tents, tables and chairs. Thanks...

As a solo, you'll most likely do better at the smaller companies. They are less likely to leave a solo sitting while giving a team that 500 mile load. If, when talking to a recruiter, they push you to team, you can count on them preferring teams.
