    AC off batteries

What if he runs the engine and main AC long enough to get the temp down inside so all the roof top has to do is maintain it?

    Fuel tanks

Somebody's telling me the 4 cylinder diesel Sprinter holds 25 gallons of diesel, insists that's the case. But when my fuel light comes on, I can only pump about 19 gallons in. Anybody have one that can confirm?

    AC off batteries

The guy in the video said 8-9 hours after it gets cooled off and switches to low.

But how would you know how many 3 pallet loads you didn't get? Maybe you missed 3 of them before getting one you could take. Theoretically.

Air suspension or heavy duty springs

    What's the general opinion?

    AC off batteries

I'm guessing he runs the the AC during the heat of the day then recharges.

I'm going to need something a lot more substantial than that! I'm thinking Lazy Boy.

Never heard of him. Or that place, whichever that is.

I'm just a little concerned about giving up a couple feet of cargo space. I plan to use a nice recliner or other permanent bed setup, so I'm thinking I'd be limited to 2 skids with the shorter cargo area.

I've been searching. Searched back to 2013, as far as it lets me. Can't find anything searching for "moot transit annual expense summary" or various permutations.

My owner trusts a guy in Elmhurst, IL. His rep is that if he can't fix it, nobody can. The guy is close to Soup-Nazi-level rude, but apparently an expert.

Running the numbers, it looks like diesel does better economically, by quite a bit, even with the higher price.

    Outfitting costs

So what's it cost to add all this stuff? The shelving over the wheel wells, wood floor, insulation, 4 rows of etrack, installing house batteries, etc? And how much time does it take?

    Decision

Wouldn't the power and mileage difference make the diesel a better choice?

To be honest, I didn't think there would be this many decisions to make regarding getting my own van, and these are only the ones I've come up with so far. I'm going to go through them, and hope for input from everybody. First, for the van itself, either a Sprinter, the longest one made, or the...

    Turtle and electronics

Speaking of that, I saw a video on which a guy was installing a roof top AC, but it was AC powered, to run off his house batteries. Not sure I want to go that route, but it would be nice to have that much power.

So what's "a lot"? I'm guessing 1 battery of any size would be minimal. How many amp hours would be considered a lot to run a fridge, some lights, maybe one of those lunch pail food cookers, and charge the batteries on those eco-flow AC/heat units? I don't want to half-ass this setting it up.

    Bedding

What if I order some 8" thick memory foam and use a sawz-all you but it to the size I want, then just throw a soft comforter over it to create a feel like a mattress cover, then make the bed like normal? Think that would work?

What if I order some 8" thick memory foam and use a sawz-all to cut it to the size I want, then just throw a soft comforter over it to create a feel like a mattress cover, then make the bed like normal? Think that would work?

I'm not sure how that differs from what I said, except your example uses 12v batteries instead of 6. Aren't you connecting them to increase your supply of power? Instead of 1 battery with, say, 100 amp hours, you're using 3 batteries to create a battery with 300 amp hours. Now, if I use those...
