    showers for gas burners

As Cheri said, shower wipe towels and a water to wash one's hair. I have a small container that fits under the sink faucets in restrooms for pouring water over my head. I drape a towel over my shoulders and wash my hair at the sink. I must have clean hair. I feel yucky when it does not get...

    Expediters NOT welcomed

Heffard, On my first visit there, I thought the very same as you. The truck stop manager came outside and told me he needed the parking on that side for the restaurant inside the truck stop. He was very polite and directed me to the next driveway and to the area provided for vans.

    showers for gas burners

It is more than a few hundred vans. If enough folks voice their concerns it may have an effect on they thinking. Quite possibly, management (i.e. the bean counters) simply may not have consider the total number of gas powered vehicles that are required to operate with an MC number.

    showers for gas burners

Part of the bankruptcy agreement required Flying J to sell off 10 locations to Love's. Pilot has been guiding this whole scenario and as they knew of the sell off to Love's and that they were acquiring the remaining J's it would have been proactive on their part to inform drivers at the...

    showers for gas burners

You can talk to the driver at the Knoxville J yourself. It is definitely true at that location. And I stopped and fueled at two independently owned Flying J's coming through Washington so I could get a shower in Portland. Pulled into that J which is still listed on their handbook for...

Truly A Sad Day For Gas Powered Expediters

The saga continues. I just received this email from the owner parked at the Knoxville J. Found out the auto pumps (for gas or diesel) does not apply points for showers no matter what. The Pilot points accumulated at the auto pumps will apply for merchandise only. So, there goes the free...

Truly A Sad Day For Gas Powered Expediters

An expediter called me from the Knoxville J and told me that the J Rewards Card would no longer work in the pumps and the shower card terminal had been removed. She was also told that it would still be a Flying J. This website pretty much indicates the handwriting already on the wall...

Truly A Sad Day For Gas Powered Expediters

Pilot's buyout of Flying J does nothing for those of us who drive/own gas powered trucks. The Pilot Driver's Points Card that is being passed out at Flying J's (Knoxville for example) requires that you purchase 50 gallons of DIESEL to get a shower credit. I strongly suggest that EVERY gas...

    Much Better Now

Thank you so very much to those who sent PM's and emails. I am doing much better. Health isssues have been resolved and things are back to normal. I have been quite busy and that helps with the adjustment after the dissolution. I would request prayer for Aletha that God would deal with her...

Gm van and delco parts recall

DETROIT - General Motors said it plans to recall about 5,000 heavy-duty vans built in February and March -- and halt production and sale of the vehicles -- because an alternator may pose a fire engine risk, Reuters reported. GM said the last eight digits of the vehicle identification...

    March 2010 Location

Been living at the Studio 6 in Dayton for the past three weeks. I did all of the interior installations in the parking lot with an extension cord dropped through the motel window. Thank God there is a Lowes and Home Depot right down the street. I think the van is finally ready to roll...

Is Flying J now 50 gallons for free shower?

Autozone never seems to have the brand of Mobil 1 that I want to purchase. Walmart always seems to have it in stock and they have Rain-X products too! Probably why I have never gotten the "Zone Card". I like Advance Auto Parts because they stock AC oil filters.

    2010 Sprinter search begins

Correct! The dual wheel application reduces fuel economy. In a GM platform it makes little sense to buy a dually with a GVWR of 10,000lbs when a single rear wheel now has a GVWR of 9900lbs. In regards to the Prius, increased production levels can, and do, yield a decrease in costs...

    Kepping Our Fingers Crossed!

I have not spoken with many folks running Hotshots, but I am familiar with the rates for LTL. They usually run about 50% less or more than expedite rates.

    Attention Hino Owners

Of course. It seemed pretty obvious as they have excellent customer service throughout all of their companies. USLD is culprit...not the manufacturer.

FYI. Toyota does not artificially create demand for the Prius. The demand exceeds the production rate because fuel is markedly higher in the European and Asian markets; therefore the demand id greater in those countries. Moreover, the production cost exceeds the selling price in the US...

    Preventable Or Not

I did not vote, because being "fair" or "unfair" is not the issue. IMHO. It is their company. They set rules, guidelines and regulations. In the final analysis...it matters nothing what one believes to be "fair" or "unfair". If I don't like a movie...I get up and walk out. If I...
