Why would anyone doubt the honesty and integrity of a large carrier like FDCC? When we went back to FDCC in 2012 we were assured they were not going flat rate. We were told that it was not there business model. Now I'm at a company where I can just ask the boss myself and get an honest answer.

If it were not so easy to get into expediting with a van maybe the rates would go up. No CDL, medical card, IRP Tag, IFTA, logs, etc. makes it so easy for anyone with a van and drivers license to jump into the business. And it seems most carriers will sign on anyone that can pass a drug test.

I would say a lot will fail. An investment of that amount needs a team in the truck. Unless the owner has another source of income and is just doing this to be a paid RV'er.
