Going from an 18 wheeler to a 6 wheeler.

Welcome! :7 Hubby (Nightshift) and I are in similar circumstances. He's an OTR Company driver now, and I am starting class May 3. We are planning on teaming as well, but not the truck purchase yet. Question for the "experienced ones here" :7 Should we contact companies or O/O first...

    Layover

Nightshift doesn't like truckstops for all the reasons listed above. If possible he uses rest areas or he parks at the shipper/receiver. Which brings me back to the one of the reasons we are considering expediting. Parking! Some of the places listed above are impossible for a 70ft rig, along...

    Layover

Nightshift is OTR right now, and while he's been out he's been looking for expeditiers to talk to. Here's the question he asks... Where the heck are you guys? :7 He said he very rarely sees expediters at truckstops or rest areas, so where do you guys "layover" at?

    Expedite Solutions

Weave I didn't feel you were giving Angela a hard time. What I saw, was good questions that needed answers. We need those hard questions asked, because as "newbies" we don't "know" what questions to ask. I started this thread because I was looking for training and knew that others had to be...

    Email Question

I received an email, from a forum member, but I'm not sure who it is. The return address was just [email protected] I thought that email sent from the form on the site revealed the sender's email address. I tested it by logging in under Nightshift's name (my hubby)and sending myself an...

    How do I start?

I have to agree with Arky. We are "newbies" here too and have found a wealth of information in the forums. Make sure you look at the archives too. We're still getting the different "lingo" down, but we're learning with the help of the fine folks here!:7
