    Weekly (right-wing) Wing-Nut Roundup

It's the imposition upon the unwilling. I realize it's difficult to refrain from doing so, especially when it's an inherent part of those beliefs [to 'witness', or evangelize], but shoving it down people's throats when they have no [real] choice but to listen is still, IMO, immoral.

    Planned Parenthood's Problem vs. Capitalism

I think it's very telling that Daleidan, who has devoted his life to the 'pro life' cause, refers to a fetus as a "creature" in his reply to a question. Because he's off guard, trying to defend the use of an image specifically to mislead people, caught in the act by someone who doesn't buy...

Churches provide food. shelter, and aid to the poor in return for being tax exempt - that's the deal. In effect, they are subsidized by the government, which is taxpayers. Using that to impose their beliefs upon those who have little choice but to be a captive audience is immoral, IMO.

The truth about Obama's head scar.

That makes about as much sense as "gay is a choice because: prison". The idea that "the MSM" has an agenda to make some people "look bad" is just ludicrous. There are individuals with such an agenda, but to declare that mainstream news outlets engage in it is pretty far out there paranoia. If...

So what [in your opinion] is Carson's position?

Obama Halts Sermons during Soup Kitchen Meals If it wasn't happening, there'd be no need for this. I will stipulate that not all religious charity care comes with forced proselytizing, [I used to deliver Meals on Wheels from a church kitchen that didn't], but it absolutely happens. I recall...

"Clock" maker invited to White House

Oh my sainted aunt Joan - you think they are "similiar"?! A kid who is suspended for the latest in a string of incidents that disrupt the entire class, and one who is suspended for a 'suspected hoax bomb' that they knew dam well wasn't any sort of bomb, or hoax? That's some a m a z i n g...

    Just had a penitentiary flashback....

Davis was in DC to receive an award at Tony Perkins' "Values Voter Summit" [I love how they dropped the "family" from their name, after discovering that quite a few real families don't agree with their values], not to meet with the Pope. Perhaps the Pope feels that climate change and income...

    The Trump Card...

A 10% tax across the board may be simple, but it would also be extremely unfair. It would literally take bread from the mouths of the poor, while the wealthy would be singing 'hallelujah!' Did you know that a very large number of Americans are now paying 50% of their income for rent/mortgage...

    The Trump Card...

I'm not surprised that you fail to appreciate the difference between a person who is biased, but also extremely knowledgeable on a particular subject, and "certain websites and pundits" that are biased without the attending knowledge on the subject. Any subject.

The truth about Obama's head scar.

BTW: I recognize the name Maddow, but have no idea who Schultz is. I don't get news from tv - I read it. And I make an effort to read different viewpoints too.

"Clock" maker invited to White House

I'm shocked! The parents and their attorney [how many parents retain an attorney over the '"minor" behavior of a 7 year old?!] aren't throwing the kid under the bus, or even admitting that he's "all boy" [which is code for 'hell on wheels, if you are supposed to be responsible for him]. I...

    Weekly (right-wing) Wing-Nut Roundup

Even if your contention that churches can take over the care & feeding of the poor [something I don't agree with] were correct, there is still the fact that church assistance comes with a price: religion. Poor people shouldn't be forced to accept that as the price of their dinner.

Perkins quote: "When was the last time you saw a Baptist trying to blow something up?" Cheryl Sullenger, convicted & imprisoned for attempting to blow up an abortion clinic in 1988. Lest you think that was a long time ago, and so what? you should know that the same Cheryl Sullenger who is...

He cites "death threats against Kim Davis" as "proof" that homosexual = homicidal, uh huh. But all the actual deaths that have been inflicted over antigay [and abortion] ideology have been committed by the 'Christians', not against them.

    Weekly (right-wing) Wing-Nut Roundup

That link is "agenda driven news", granted, but the agenda is to aid churches in allocating funds, prepared by the churches themselves [through the Evangelical Credit Union], so the comment about "twisted facts and fantasy presented solely to rail on churches and conservatives" seems somewhat...

    The great tuna scandal

Tuna with red beans, rice, & cheese sounds repulsive to me too, but then, I like mine mixed with canned peas, mayo, & sour cream. ;)

    Pumpkin Spice Expediter

Also too, check the label of those little spice jars before adding to pudding, lol. My sister told me to get some turmeric, which has some healthful properties, so of course I did, and as I was shaking a LOT of [what I thought was] nutmeg into the bowl, it occurred to me that maybe some...
