    My ! Yr anniversary

I very rarely use the naturally decaff stuff. I don't honestly think it makes much of a difference except for the taste. I've noticed that the decaff stuff doesn't taste as strong as the regular. Sometimes the regular Lipton green tea is harder to find than the decaff. One of our local...

    Ladies I need your help

Instead of buying a card, why not make one? My hubby did that for me years ago and I still have it. He can't draw or write a poem to save his life but it's the best card that I've ever gotten. It meant (and still does) the world to me. You could also give her a romantic bubble bath. Put...

    My ! Yr anniversary

I drank a cup of strong green tea before every meal and in between. I still ate the same but the tea took away the urge to snack in between meals most of the time. The tea speeds up your metabolisim which helps you to lose weight. I use the LIPTON tea bags but any brand will do. The key is to...

    New York Overhead Clearances

As a New Yorker, I'll tell you what we're taught: the YELLOW low clearance signs are 100% accurate and the WHITE ones are 1 foot off. Reason: it's for the snow & ice clearance. Yup, it's downright dangerous and stupid but hey...that's our state & government officials 'hard' at work!

    My ! Yr anniversary

OK, I 'm so excited and proud of myself and wanted to share my success with all of you: today is exactly 1 year that I've kept off the 42 pounds that's haunted me all my life!!! I tried every diet out there and never had any real success till now. Sure, I lost weight on the diets but the weight...

    I hate the word Diet!

I know that I've mentioned it on the forum a few times and probably sound like a broken record but drinking green tea in between meals really helps you to lose weight and keep it off. The bottled stuff has too much 'stuff' in it and won't work, so you'll have to make it yourself from the bags. I...

    Knock, Knock, Knock...

One time when my hubby & I were in Nashville at the truck stop, a lot lizzard knocked on our door in the middle of the night. Our black lab got to the window before we did. Normally, the sight & sound from him is enough to chase the lizzards away but such was not the case this time. Hubby...

    Oops!

Back in early April, I had a driver test positive for cocaine on a random drug test. This guy swore up hill and down that it was impossible. I questioned him thoroughly and found out that he had been taking all sorts of vitamins that were made overseas (he was on a health kick and found these...

    Paid tourism

We love nascar & rodeos, so if there are any in the area, we always try to go. We also like to check out the area to see what's happening: sometimes there's a street fair, town celebration, etc. We also try to find different & unique things about an area to learn & collect for our TRUCKER BUDDY...

    Driving for a Fleet Owner

We are one of those owners who DO make ourselves available to our drivers 24/7. Each driver has all our cell phone #'s, home/office #, fax #, and even our email address. All our drivers know that they can contact us at any time, day or night, with any concern, comment, or question that they may...

    08 Hino fuel milge ???

We have a 2008 HINO that's a 6 speed. It gets decent MPG, around 8MPG. Our lead driver didn't like the truck and thought it got aweful fuel mileage, but he also had a lead foot which can greatly affect the MPG in any vehicle. We actually don't see much difference between our '08 and our 05's and...

How do you get your mail??

If you know what city/state you'll be at for the following day or next, you can have it sent to a fed ex/kinkos in/near that city and go there to pick it up. My drivers do that all the time for their mail and whatnot.

    Memorial Day

What are your plans for Memorial Day? For us, we plan on putting our garden in if the weather cooperates. I also want to take this time to SALUTE and THANK each and every one of you vets out there.

    What Truck To Buy??

I have several Hinos and just love them. I have the 268 and 338 models and all are 5 speeds. The trucks have held up well and Toyota has been great at fixing what little bit that has gone wrong on them (such as the tail light assembly on my first one). They seem to have plenty of power for us...

    Getting Outf Dallas

Nightcreacher: maybe it's different for a straight truck than for a tractor, I don't know. All I know is that my team straight truck sat for 2 days in Dallas without a single load offer. Dispatch & CC's kept saying that it was really slow, which I find kinda hard to believe. Anyway, they got...

    Getting Outf Dallas

Anyone else having trouble getting out of Dallas this week? I have a team truck that's been there since Wednesday morning. They have a high acceptance rate and don't just sit around waiting for the "cherry" loads. I realize that we're in a slow time but I find this a little ridiculous. It's not...
