Well morning from the homestead, Honey-Dos just about done. Have a few lose ends to tied up the next couple of days and then back at for the new year. Hope everyone weeks ends well.

Mine did that for a little while, that is most likely a 24 volt system, and a drop in power will throw the ECM in to default. I would start with checking batteries and alternator. Those would be the cheap and easy fixes, if that's not it then their is the voltage doubler, ECM, or wiring harness...

Do you mean that it reads SM on the display and you have to shift it manually till you shut the truck off?
