    I'm Speechless. I Got Nothing.

George Zimmerman is truly the "American Dream" personified. After dealing with all that messy business in Florida he dropped the end three letters from his last name, grew a beard and opened a coast to coast chain of men's clothing stores. Maybe George could hire Darren Wilson as a loss...

    I'm Speechless. I Got Nothing.

You could process it as another white cop shoots and kills unarmed, defenseless black youth. A grand jury fails to indict white cop. White cop is so overcome with joy he breaks into song on the way to the doughnut shop. There ya go. That wasn't so hard to process.

Need advice on charging to hand unload my truck

Not knowing what all is involved at the delivery it is difficult to price it out. I would think that $500 should certainly cover just about anything you could encounter. Good luck!

Need advice on charging to hand unload my truck

Define full truckload. Are you talking 20', 24' or 53'? Will you have help at the other end? Besides the hand unload will you be required to sort and segregate the boxes? Will it be an inside delivery? I get a flat $25 for a hand load or unload in a cargo van. I don't believe I have ever...

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

Thanks Bob. That's the info I was looking for. I realize that. The original logic behind the f.s.c. was so carriers wouldn't have to constantly change their published tariffs to compensate for erratic swings in the price of fuel. While Panther is still charging their customers their...

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

That's what I'm trying to find out and why I posed the question. Bill Murray?

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

Not in my base rate. As I stated my f.s.c. has dropped. I want to know if overall rates are declining as the price of fuel drops. Bill Murray?

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

So are you seeing a reduction in your rates as the price of fuel drops? I should be directing this question to Bill or Murray. Bill Murray?

    Glass cleaner

Probably not much difference. I'm guessing that the Formula 40 was one of their original products before branching out into the consumer market. Both products contain the same ingredients, possibly in differing quantities though. I grew up with this stuff. It works great and I like the smell...

    Fuel surcharge cargo vans

The current f.s.c. at Panther for cargo vans is .16/mile. For most of 2014 it was .24/mile. In August it dropped to .23/mi. and continued to drop about a penny a month. Running a gasser the f.s.c. pays for all my loaded mile fuel costs and puts an extra 4 to 6 cents/mile in my pocket.

    Glass cleaner

I've been using Sprayway glass cleaner since high school graphic arts class. The formula 40 (orange can) works great for cleaning camera lenses, light tables, copy-boards etc. I still use it to clean my glasses. The general purpose (blue can) is good for windows. Costco sells the general...

Flat mileage fee vs % of Compensation

The rational behind fuel surcharges was to offset the volatile price swings of fuel. Carriers didn't want to constantly change their published tariffs every time some oily sheikh in the Mid East farted and the price of crude increased. So they invented the fsc. Shippers understood that and...

Flat mileage fee vs % of Compensation

I don't know who said "There is no profit in ethics", but I bet it was an accountant. Reminds me of when I first started hauling NLM loads. I took a 22% hit off my regular rate to haul their freight and put up with their crap, like no early pick-ups, early deliveries, etc. NLM demanded more...
