So long, It's Been Good To Know Yuh

Tonight at 10:00 E.D.T. begins the ending of the World. A rare, super bloody lunar eclipse will occur taking all of us with it. Am I worried? Of course not. I feel fine. I survived 1984, both the book and the year. I survived Y2K in 2000 and again in 2001. I lived through comets Kohoutek...

    Winter Driving???

I have always run quality, all season tires on cargo vans. These seem to meet my needs for traveling different parts of the country during the winter. If I stayed in the snowbelt all winter I would probably go with snow tires. Snow tires are generally made of softer compounds and won't...

    Scott Walker is done

What about Jesse Ventura? Jesse would add some much needed blunt honesty and outrageousness to an otherwise bland candidate. Plus, he's willing to play second kazoo to the Donald. THE DONALD AND THE BRAIN GET ON THE TRAIN 2016

fYI: NEW PER DIEM RATES EFFECTIVE OCT 1, 2015

I don't know why the IRS can't make these changes effective the 1st of the year instead of the 3rd quarter. I believe last year the deductions were 80% of $59 and $52. This year it will be 80% of $59 and $63. The IRS certainly wouldn't want to make things too simple for us.

    "I" In Team

FedEx has a secret arrow hidden in their logo. For years people have claimed there is no "I" in the word TEAM. Today I finally found the "I". It was there all the time, just cleverly hidden in the "A". .

Another $3.00 a day is a good thing. For some it could mean a whole hot dog and a bag of chips.

    Pallets in a Cube Van

I'm guessing he's running local by the looks of the freight he hauls; water, bleach and soil. Soil? He's a bit stingy with information. In post 7 he does mention a trailer and pallet jacks. No way he can stay under 10,001 with that setup.

    Pallets in a Cube Van

There you go! You did some research and found the specifications. If the box size and weight rating meet your needs then go for it.

    Pallets in a Cube Van

For a 12' long cube van to accommodate six 40" x 48" pallets the interior width would have to be at least 80 inches wide. If you plan on hauling heavy palletized freight you would probably better off with a small dock high straight truck.

What kind of life experiences aren't they expected to have? The a lot of life lessons and a lot of lessons about people kind of life experiences or some other type of life experiences? Except in St. Paul. One of the reasons only 5% of police departments require college degrees is because such a...

    'See Something,Say Something.'

One also learns a lot of life lessons and a lot about people while working in the real world, interacting with all of society and not just the people on a somewhat cloistered college campus. Lessons that I think a lot of college kids are lacking.

    Pallets in a Cube Van

Pallets don't weigh much. A standard 4-way pallet weighs about 40 pounds. It's what is on the pallet that significantly contributes to its overall wight. Figure out the average weight of a load of whatever it is you plan on hauling. Look for a truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)...

Some do! Maybe not in Washington, DC, Kentucky and Mississippi. But, many departments require at least an Associate Degree. Some departments require a Bachelor's Degree. The police department my son is with requires a Bachelor's Degree. He has a BS in law enforcement and a BA in Spanish...
