I was an expediter again for two days!

Then lay in bed is what you need to do. I have no idea what level medical coverage you have, luckily in Ontario hospital coverage is forced thru our taxes but when you leave, without private coverage, other than doctors visits you're not covered, we've got crazy out of pocket costs...

I was an expediter again for two days!

Something for paid work that doesn't involve driving on meds is possible too if you insist on punching a clock...you just have to change how you made a living. Easier said than done, I know I've got no suggestions that way, my occasional expediting income is supporting us while I care for...

I was an expediter again for two days!

You'll find something you can do again. This is what disability was made for, no guilt, you deserve it and no one not in your situation can even imagine what you're going thru. The wife is 35 and has disintegrating joints from arthritis, as well as EDS HD, migraines, failing kidneys and liver...

Surprised by a 1 am direct. Imagine if you will, driving a few short hours to a foreign country with an open border, where you don't speak the language and can't read the signs. Mirabel, Quebec - they have horizontal stoplights too. Shippers are bilingual but English seems to fade when you...

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

In the beginning it will be fun to watch...whether angry truckers attack them or people try and rob them...but it's coming, Audi has one ready and Volvo supposedly is releasing one (car) for 2017...the convoys are already being tested on highways in Europe

Cargo Van I got kicked out of a Flying J

Most times, asking gives the opportunity for someone to say no in my experience...like the officer who asked who gave me the permission to change my balljoint in a grocery store parking lot i was already almost done, so he went away and let me finish

Thinking about Retiring? This could be fun.

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

Or the yellow Penske's would be in heaven (Just being negative if ALL trucks did stop we'd get a result)

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

Well, Uber and Tesla have billions to invest and there's not one trucking company I know of that wouldn't jump at the chance to eliminate drivers...life will just keep getting more interesting I guess

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

About the self driving, they've already opened up the door in my province...saving up for a driverless van, I'll ride it and become a tourist...but no government or union can save us from those desperate ones willing to drive for cheap, or slow it down, it's already happening

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

It will effect change...it will speed up the self driving trucks I think they're coming faster than anyone thinks, I'm just enjoying the present state of things and making sure I don't invest too much in a dying industry People are clueless tho...i mean do you eat? Do you live in a building...

    Promaster box truck

That's awesome, thanks for posting it! Never seen one...as for space I guess you guys have never been in an Alumnibunk e350 ford with the 24" sleeper...its very easy to heat and cool a small space, down to -41 I didn't idle It does look more suited to expedite flatbed work if there is such a thing
