    Ready for another Feb-ulos Month

Well, there are three tiers of gas, I guess. Top tier, that has additives and such to keep your engine clean; middle tier, that is just decent gas that may or may not be clean; and bottom tier, or no name junk gas- the stuff Ali sells from behind bulletproof glass. I bought 6 gal of bottom...

Speaking of inspection, I have to get one on my new van. Why, Pennsylvania, do I need to have a brand new vehicle inspected? Sent from my iPhone using EO Forums

    Ready for another Feb-ulos Month

FINALLY GOT THE VAN BACK! Bill was 0.00[emoji16] Looks like I might have to pay for showers from here on out. I was advised by the dealer to use only name brand fuel. Not even Sheetz is safe for this van, so they say. So here I sit at the TA in Greencastle PA with a full tank of Shell. Going to...

    when you are retiring

    Ready for another Feb-ulos Month

They installed the new fuel pump this morning. Van ran like a champ for three minutes, then stalled again. Now they’re back to diagnostics. I had really hoped to earn the money I need to finish the deal, now I need to borrow it [emoji20] Sent from my iPhone using EO Forums

    Battery setup help

Turtle, have you considered a career in wiring vans when you go off the road? I bet expediters would flock to Murray like hippies to Woodstock to have you help them [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using EO Forums

    Ready for another Feb-ulos Month

Nancy’s still shipshape [emoji4] Diagnosis on the van: fuel pump. Could be anywhere from tomorrow to Monday until it’s fixed. Good news is, it’s under warranty, and I’ve been issued a courtesy car [emoji594]. Bad news is we’re still OOS; the courtesy car could hold one skid, but the agreement...

    Ready for another Feb-ulos Month

PM in shop after only 2600 miles. Got gas this morning on way to hospital (routine procedure for Nancy); I think I got a bad dose. Thank God only 6 gal. Will go back in service when the van is fixed. Most importantly, Nancy is healthy[emoji16][emoji173] Sent from my LG-M150 using EO Forums...

Looking to buy a new van. Transit or Promaster

I bought my Promaster knowing it has a (hopefully beefed up) Caravan powertrain. I believe it has enough of a job pulling itself around. Add a trailer? Not this guy! Sent from my iPhone using EO Forums

I think I struck a nice compromise: with the whole bed down, we can handle two skids. The rear section of the bed is 18”; fold that up, there’s the whole 120”. Not the longest freight section out there, but being a team is a better selling point, IMHO[emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using EO Forums

    Ready for another Feb-ulos Month

Got a run with the old van one night out of PA going to NC; the carrier asked me if I’d go with 2800 lbs (set weight was 2650). I said okay. Get to the pick and they put the skids on the van. She squatted like a dog on a walk. I asked the shipper to remove and reweigh the skids. 4450!! Oh well...

Actually, I set the length at 120. Part of the bed is permanent, so that one of us can be in bed while the other one drives. I agree after yesterday that 3000 might be a hair much, but she traveled straight and true[emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using EO Forums

    Ready for another Feb-ulos Month

I must be badly out of shape; took me3 days to install e-track and a bed in the Promaster. Of course, that included at least one unscheduled trip to Lowe's (btw, Ntime, I found the hooks Home Depot didn't have) [emoji5] I'd set max weight at 3000; so far, two runs have each weighed 2700+ lbs...
