Fee Parking at Truck Stops...the new future?

We were just in Las Vegas and the reserved spots were almost full and the parking lot was not full. From what Tom has said they are getting many calls and emails thanking them for this service so time will tell where the program will go. Jim I would use the email Moose gave you to express...

    New GPS from Rand McNally

I like our Rand McNally and have both the 710 and the 720. I do not use all of the features of the 720 as I am still fighting with my internet usage. The 720 also seemed to drop the internet signal very easy and had to be reconnected. We use them both for Hazmat routing and like any GPS we...

Fee Parking at Truck Stops...the new future?

This is the blog where Henry Albert talks about some of these issues. Team Run Smart Pro With us we have the ability to eat in the truck, and with Bob's mechanical ability we do not use the shops except for periodical inspections. We sometimes eat inside, we buy fuel, we take showers, we...

Why do you not use TA/Petro as your primary truck stop?

There were four drivers on the call with great feedback. I wonder how much longer we will be able to park for free at truck stops? An interesting blog by Henry Albert on Team Run Smart which addresses and interesting issue of truck parking at truck stops...

    Is it that slow?

I have heard the term FM about fleet managers assigned to flat rate trucks and not to Expedite Services. I can be wrong as I am not that familiar with the flat rate program but I have heard that term. I wonder if you were offered a relocate option? Layoutshooter this guy is probably not a...

    Ringtones for dispatch

We use a fire siren and it never fails to get our attention and everyone else's. Very easy to hear in the truck and it has been left in the sleeper.

Interesting poll on Overdrive website about Expediting

I thought this was a pretty funny question myself. I know of some retired military people though that use expediting in this way. Get paid to go to certain areas of the country and enjoy the sites before taking a load to another area of the country. Not a bad set up if you can make it work.

Why do you not use TA/Petro as your primary truck stop?

How often does a CEO come out and ask "What are we doing wrong?" and he is serious. Yes they can read here but they cannot bounce ideas off of you to see what it is that will work for you. Remember that they are not truck drivers they sit behind desks without our feedback they do not know how...

On the call will be Tom O'Brian CEO and President TA/Petro We have had several discussion with Tom O. and Tom L. and it amazes me how well they listen and how quickly them implement changes. This is a great chance for drivers who do not use Ta/Petro or who have left TA/Petro to give their...
