    Auxiliary Fuel Tank

Our generator is on a thermostat so it does not run steady. The meter idea would work the best and is a really good idea. We will have to look at both options. Glad this is back on track and not being ugly. Thanks

    Large Cities

I really don't know how a solo gets along with out a GPS and we sure like the GPS when the weather is bad and make the addresses hard to see. Not to long in the future they will be like cell phones you cant live without them.

Making a home in a box

Coco, I can add a little to that. We have a electric rice cooker and it amazes me everything I can do with that. We took out our upper bunk and Bob added a shelf there. We have a great place now for out books, DVD's that we have in notebooks, and also our cooking items. We found that keeping...

    Large Cities

We are from a very small town in sw Kansas, there was not even a stop light in the whole county, our nearest stop light was 45 miles away!! One of fears of driving cross country was the large cites an having to make an interstate change or even just try to stay on the interstate. Most of my...

    Auxiliary Fuel Tank

Thanks Everyone for all your thoughts. We are going to do some more research and see what the actual cost would be to add the tank. If we do it we will really want it to look right as we have a pretty nice looking truck now. It will also be nice to have a more accurate take on what our actual...

    Getting Fuel

I know I am very spoiled but I do not fuel. Bob talked me into trying that process once and it was a dismal failure. I swiped the card, put in all them numbers, put on the gloves, put the nozzle in the drivers side tank, turned and promptly ran into the mirrors and almost knocked my head...

    We are too useful!!!!

Now Mike I can read a map and usually am the one find out way out of the numerous times that we do get lost. Before anyone starts we do have a GPS but we have a lot of talent and still get lost. Now for your other points on what men are needed for I have to agree with you. The first time I...

    Night Driving

How does everyone handle finding a place to use the restroom at night? We split our driving shifts in the middle of the night and I sure try to wait as long as possible for daylight. Sometimes I stop at rest areas and I usually pull into the car side and try to get close to the rest rooms and...

    Auxiliary Fuel Tank

We are considering adding a small fuel tank just to run out generator. We could then fuel with the off road fuel in the small tank. Has anybody got any ideas on this?

Let me think Jim could this be you? Hope you guys are running great!! You saw how tall Bob is so you can imagine when he starts driving what he has to do to our mirrors and the seat.

    What's this?

kini lu You sure got Bob to laughing over this one. Still trying to think of the last nerve issue. Bob does live in the here and now world just like Brian.

    Do you talk or argue?

I really had to laugh about this topic!! Bob and I have been married 28 years have worked together for the last 6 and have figured out we do not work together very well. We get along great, respect each others driving, each others work ethics and we are the best of friends, but when it comes...

    Backing into Docks

Thanks Barney After thinking about that I bet that is part of my problem. I keep the mirrors way out when driving. I will try moving them in next time.

    Backing into Docks

Does anybody have a good idea about backing into docks? I always want to back crooked. Everything looks great in the mirrors, get out and look at I am crooked every time. Not sure what I am doing wrong. The air tabs seem to help when backing into a space at the truck stop but once the doors...

    Laundry Soap

Sometimes if Bob would dress in red he would look like Santa Clause. I think we will change how we take our laundry in!

    Laundry Soap

Dave that is great idea. When I wash everything in the truck it feels as if that bag weighs 100lbs which is why we didn't also want to carry any more of our laundry soap or detergent booster then we had to. I think LDB's idea is also a good one with the blue bottle.
