where to file a tax return?

Does anyone know where to get my tax return filed in Erie PA? I had it done at H&R last year and I was disappointed. The lady that filed it for me didn't seem knowledgeable about OTR drivers. So do I just go to a CPA or what?

which is a good company for a sprinter?

Hi folks, I am a Sprinter owner operator and have been working for a small local expediting company. I roughly have 10 month experience and right now I am looking for a better company. I only average 1000 miles per week and my per mile rate sounds just as bad. The two reasons I put up with this...

    I have a question...

I run a sprinter. The only deductions I used were standard mileage deduction and per diem. I made a big mistake by getting my taxes done by someone(local h+r block) who seemed unfamiliar with the trucking industry. I hope everything goes smoothly and I happen to avoid an audit, because I am not...

    I have a question...

Frank or anyone with tax knowledge, I went with standard mileage deduction this year so does that mean I don't have to keep all my receipts(fuel, tolls etc) for 08? I didn't have a need for them when I was doing my 07 taxes this year, so I was just wondering if its really necessary. I also...

    Depreciation or Standard Mileage Deduction

Frank, If I go with standard mileage deduction(which I already did for 07)does that mean I don't have to keep all my receipts(fuel, tolls etc) for 08. It sounds like keeping receipts isn't necessary for doing your taxes, if you go with standard mileage deduction. Am I correct?

    Sprinter payload?

I bought a 04 Sprinter 158" 2500 and just wanted to know what kind of loads are safe for the Sprinter. If i remember correctly my payload is listed as 3011LB but I've heard folks take up to 4000LB, so I'd imagine somewhere around 3500LB is still safe, right?

    question about the Sprinter...

I forgot to mention that I am planning on purchasing a used Sprinter 2005 or 2006 model year and not the 07. I was thinking to get the 2500 because If I go with it, I would get more loads that are taller in height and I seen that as a positive because 3500 would be somewhat handicapped because...

    question about the Sprinter...

Hello everyone, I am looking into buying a Sprinter in January but would like to hear some opinion on which Sprinter should I go with, 2500 or 3500? If I go with 3500 which is a dually,(which means I'll build a sub-floor)does that mean I'll have a harder time getting loads. I need to know which...

    Finding loads on my own...

Hello everyone, I am a o/o Ford cargo van driver but I am looking into buying a Sprinter or box truck and want to find loads on my own. In order to do that, what would I need? I've read a post saying that I might need intestate authority, insurance(I already have insurance for my cargo van but...

    Box truck question...

So the way I understand it, If I have a box truck I have to go on the scales for weigh-ins, no matter what kind of load I have, unlike a cargo van, correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Box truck question...

    >If the truck is under 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight >then a cdl is not required but otr trips in a vehicle over >10,000 pounds gvw require the driver to maintain a log book. > >Many Ryder and Penske rental trucks are registered at 25,999 >pounds. Then they can be rented to individuals...

    Box truck question...

Do all box trucks require CDL? Because, I've been told that the 10-12' box trucks that are not duallies are usually under 10,000 gvwr and don't require a CDL. This is hard for me to believe because the payload of the box truck would be extremely low considering the hefty weight of the truck, right?
