    Inaccurate Mileage

One way to look at this is FedEx Custom Critical has discounted loads and Panther has Household Mover miles for loads. Works out the same or close I imagine in what a driver is paid.

    Snow

First thing is slow down! Do not follow to close as you need more room to stop and to turn. Keep your dash cleared off to let your vents work to keep the windshield clean. Keep good windshield wipers on the vehicle. We keep the reservoir full of windshield washer as you go through lots of...

    Interesting Email

Greg we are Express Drivers and I believe do very well. Yes we are a team and yes we run hard and stay in service longer then many by our choice. Bob and I have sat with our Contract Coordinator more then once and watched loads being dispatched. We have also sat with another dispatcher and I...

    Qualcom notification

Send in a message and put yourself on the phone. Either do this on the QualComm when you check into a Express Center if you drive for FedEx Custom Critical or call in. Very easy to do and you will not miss a load!

    Nitrogen

layoutshooter where did you have this done? We keep asking at places we stop and no one is doing it yet. We are hoping when we are in Saint Louis for some home time we can get this done. It will be well worth the effort and expense from all we have heard.

    A Pasta Question

We use the Rice Cooker now as tried the rice cooker in the microwave but it just takes to long. I also had a problem if we where going down the road of the water sloshing out. With the Rice Cooker I can set the rice cooker down in the sink on a sink liner and I do not have any problems.

    Good times!

Cheri, If you saw a mule deer you would know it! They have rather large ears and they are pretty big! We saw so many of them and luckily they where out on the mountains coming down highway 395 from Spokane. What a nice drive but on September 23rd we ran in some snow up there. Bob mentioned...

    Good times!

We had a really fun load a couple weeks ago! We took a load from Los Angles to Vancouver BC. We picked up the band equipment for Robin Thicke who was opening for Beyonce at the downtown civic center. Great miles and great scenery on the way up. We got in line with the 13 semi's unloading...

Hows this for good luck !!

Wow you guys do have luck! If we even think of going home or a certain area off we go in the opposite direction. Sometimes we swear the dispatchers can hear us talking or thinking at times! Good for you guys and enjoy the trip!

    Newbie needs advice

Wow you guys have really followed our path till you got to the Sprinter! Bob also drove for USX for 4 years and I rode with him. No way was I going to drive in NYC or Boston. Heck I got scared just trying to help him out with navigation! We also then got off the road when we really figured...

Newbie w/ question about life on the road?

LOL ok Terry that makes a lot more sense! But I have heard of people exercising that many times a day. Well I am sure you could do that most of the time.

Newbie w/ question about life on the road?

I am not so sure you will have much time to work after going to the gym that many times a day. Not only do you have time for the work out you have to find the place. When under a load with this being expediting not to many places will look favorably on you stopping several time to work out.

RE: Women in Trucking - am I too old at 55 to take Why in the world would 55 be to old to start into this business? We just talked to a couple that are in their middle 60's still going strong and still loving it! Why not do something you enjoy then to be stuck at a 9 to 5 job you hate? This...

    Lift Gates

We have an inner lift lift gate. It is the elevator style as we where 40' in total length so the lift gate had to go completly under the truck.

    Is Canada necessary??

We feel Canada is necessary and we will get into a certain area and go often and then we can go a few months and not even get a load offer. We very seldom dead head out of Canada so do not factor that into taking a load. We also do not like to buy fuel up there so if we have to very far into...

    Lift Gates

We have never regretted the day we bought our lift gate. We bought a large lift gate with several safety features. The lift gate gives us a little edge often on getting a load offer over others sitting around. We paid a small fortune for our lift gate and plan to move it to our next truck...

    Todays My Anniversary...................

Good for you quitting smoking has to be the hardest thing I and my family have been through. I WILL never go through that again. I agree with Terry there is nothing worse then a reformed smoker that preaches at all smokers. Every one quits different some it is an easy process and others it...
