    Wife avoids disaster

Let us add our "Good JOB" to everyone else’s! I have had a blowout on the front tire of a pickup but not on a truck. Pickup was bad enough as the sound scares you to death. Very impressive and I hope I can stay as calm as you if it ever happens to me. Great inspiration to us all. Thanks for...

    fuel surcharge LOL

The fuel surcharge was meant to get the price of fuel down to $1.25 a gallon and so with the cost of fuel so cheap no fuel surcharge. The $1.25 is a goofy number and needs to be raised to a more realistic figure. We sure made a lot more money though when fuel was $5.00 a gallon.

Introduction and in need of help

Another wrinkle I see here is if he does get on as a team driver in Expediting and USA calls him back in a month who ever has hired him is now out a team driver. Really tough spot to be in right now as I have heard of many of the big truck companies letting experienced drivers go which is...

    White Glove and pets

No Pets are allowed in White Glove. That rules includes all 4 legged animals not just dogs and cats. I believe the rules also includes snakes.

The Perfect Company to Sign on With

Very good post and every company is not for everyone! As Leo has always said each company has warts and you have to decide which warts bother you the least.

    A b?

I was under the impression there were no A customers left that were actually paying an A rate.

    ExpeditersOnline.com I have an idea

When you read a poster that is negative all the time it is easiest for me to just skip the post when possible. Ignore the doom and gloom and bashing as there is still a lot of good information on here. Please tell her to part of the change for the positive and keep posting. If the positive...

    A b?

An A load is the same as a B load. No difference at all in weight or dims.

    Handicapped

There was a flat bed truck at the Expo last year in a special truck built just for him. He did not have any use of his lower body and had an interesting wheel chair ramp that he used. He would have to have people load and unload the trailer and it sounded as if he was doing ok.

    Knoxville meeting

There is some more information about the meeting on the home page! This will you be your lucky day FedEx Custom Critical Field Safety Liaison will be in attendance. He always livens the room up. I hope you and anyone else that attends the meeting gets to visit with him and the other vendors...

    Worthless <75

I see no difference in responding to a <75 offer. You are given ten minutes to respond to the load opp or before the load offer. If you cannot respond on the C-Link you can both call in and give the dispatcher the load number and say yes or no or you can respond via the C-Link. The ten minutes...

    Gettin Paid

You know that is a good point and one we always follow. Make sure you take all the staples out of your papers. We are very careful about how we put our paperwork in the Trip Pak. Any small items need to be put into the front or back of the envelope and not mixed in with the papers.

    Air Tabs

Yes we have them across the roof. We even put the extras on the bottom of the lift gate. They are a really good inexpensive product. If you want to see some wild AirTabs Gotta Go needs to post a picture of her truck.

    Glass slippers

I have thought about your post and how often we have worn our steel toed boots. I believe in the whole time we have been with FedEx Custom Critical Bob has worn his twice and my Redwings are just the same as when I put them in the side box. We would not run without our steel toed shoes as the...

    Midwest Trucking Show

Well there will be a few expediters at the show but we will not be able to gather at our normal spot Lawrence’s booth! I know of several who are still planning on attending and parking over in the Papa John’s parking lot. After the show closes it is easier to find everyone hanging out. I...

Your Thoughts About Going to California?

The sad part of this is many other states are looking at the new CARB laws and are considering following the leader. If the money is right we will also continue to go into California and our next truck will be specing for this.
