Kick this campaign in high gear!!

As would be Madison Ave ad agencies, Academia, a good number of corporate boardrooms, televangelist's studios, regulatory agencies, just to skim the surface...in a thoughtful society, Cindy Sheehan would be a joke.

    Red Light Camera

It's mind-boggling, how often the law & common sense are at cross purposes! I've run a few red lights in the past, mostly in deserted neighborhoods of extremely low safety, but those cameras add another layer of danger - I wonder how many will be able to successfully fight the unreasonable...

    Gratitude

I second that emotion - if you don't know what else to say, or are better at saying it in the short form than I am, or whatever - just say "Thanks"! Along with your heart, where are your manners?!

    Fact or fiction?

Rich: my exhusband WAS arrested for DUI while sleeping - in his car, at a traffic light that had turned green, lol He'd passed out while the light was red... The scenario I've heard numerous times, is drivers at a bar, being arrested as soon as they entered their trucks to sleep. The team...

    Passwords

Yikes! Thanks, JJ & Tony - 'anagram' was not the word I wanted, I meant 'mnemonics', where you use the first letter of each word of a song title, or phrase, to create it: "you don't have to call me darlin, darlin" would be ydhtcmdd, etc. Anagrams wouldn't work well at all for the purpose - too...

    Passwords

My son in law, known as The Computer Genius, among other things, told me that my passwords should be: Not a word that can be found in the dictionary, not something that anyone could guess, even those who know me too well, memorable, so I don't need to write it down & post it near the computer...

    Medical check-ups on the road

Of course I was teasing, but it's good that you added that - because I didn't know that the per diem doesn't apply, if you have no fixed residence, and maybe others don't know either. And it's usually what you don't know that'll get you in trouble...:o

    good home time

A lot of different opinions is one of the best things about EO - you have to decide for yourself what it means for your situation, though. Good home time, and good income, mean different things to different people, ya know? Same with the term "hard work" - sometimes my teenager thinks unloading...

    Fact or fiction?

First: I have a room for the Expo, so I'm not worried about that, and like I said, I don't drink when out on the road, even on a weekend layover, so I'm not worried about ever getting in trouble, myself - it aint gonna happen, period. I do wonder about the driver-trainer I had at Swift - he...

political correctness tsars, Are you one of them?

RE: political correctness tsars, Are you one of th Greg, I don't know anything about ROTC programs. I learned to shoot, & my daughter did too, because I believe that gun safety is not possible if you don't know anything about guns. I thought it irresponsible to not prepare her for the...

RE: political correctness tsars, Are you one of th TallCall knows I love him, even when we don't agree, lol. People think I'm politically correct sometimes, & are pretty surprised to find that when my teenage daughter wears her favorite shirts, the ones that say "Remington kids shoot straight"...

    Fact or fiction?

I just make it a practice to not ever drink when I'm on the road, except those rare occasions when I go to a concert, then I get a room, & taxi. I didn't know if it's true, but I wouldn't risk it - it's not worth losing your license over! Thanks for the info, it's good to know. But I've gotta...

    Fact or fiction?

The mention of a party in the parking lot at the Expo reminds me of something I've heard several times, but have never been able to verify as truth: can a driver be charged with DUI merely for climbing inside his truck, intending to sleep, after drinking? It would seem that it can't be true...

And I'd tie it tight 'round the neck, until you write "I will remember the difference between goodnatured teasing & meanspirited crapola" 500 times, and that would end the subject.

Need help from the seniors of expedite...

Lord knows I'm not a senior, & those cashiers who ask if I get the discount are just infants, but I have been hoping for a delivery somewhere in the vicinity of Pittsburgh, so maybe I could pop in to visit my daughter, but have never gone anywhere near there, in 18 months, so far. And of...
