    Michelin Contest

The tool boxes were transferred from our old truck to our new truck as well as our lift gate and our wheels. Bob will have to let you know what he does to keep them so shiny. Bob does the work himself and I can only think of one time he had someone help him polish. When we sold our old truck...

FOCUS GROUP: Make Your Truck Stop Better!

I do this when the weather is bitter cold and it is uncomfortable to sit in the cab of the truck while Bob sleeps. I go inside have a nice breakfast and work on the computer. Cheri I wondered that also about how long people would sit at the counters but.... I usually do not see to many...

FOCUS GROUP: Make Your Truck Stop Better!

I wish we could be there. TA/Petro has really made some great changes for the better. We were in Tonopah, AZ the other day and I noticed a sign that said they were adding outlets under the counters to keep our electronics charged. When I take my computer in I am always looking for a plug in...

    Chains or cables?

They must be Steve to us or we would not have put them on. They are expensive and not something to put on the truck without a lot of consideration. There are times when chains have to be installed and they are heavy and with us running wide base singles the tires chains are exceptionally...

    Maximum amount of dead miles

When paid on percentage the authorized dead head miles do not mean as much as long as the load pays enough to take it. The longer our paid dead head miles are the better we like it as we are getting our best fuel mileage with less wear and tear on the truck.

    Slush Busters question

Here is a thread on the Slush Busters and there has been many threads over the years on these: http://www.expeditersonline.com/forum/general-expediter-forum/49922-how-do-you-prepare-winter.html

    Slush Busters question

This is the 6th year we have used them and they have all had to be peeled off of the truck after winter. I am not sure how you would get one to stick after it started peeling off. Our daughter managed to take one off when she scraped her windshield in the morning.

    Lift Gate Lift Axle

As a surface truck we used our lift axle much more than our lift gate. Both helped us to get more freight which was our goal. If we would have had to choose we would have went with the lift axle first. We use our lift axle in the wind as well to stabilize the truck and also in the mountains.
