I want the new Ford but I don't know if I can wait nearly a year from now.

    Sprinter advice...

So I am no longer considering a Nissan NV. The poor gas mileage and bed length is a big deal. I have heard a lot of bad stuff about the Sprinters, but also heard there are some of them that are better than others, due to the motor. Which is the good one and what else should I look for? Keep in...

    Nissan NV Cargo Van

Yea I just spoke to a dealer about them. Very suprised to hear 20 mpg on the highway is far fetched. Maybe I will have to consider a sprinter or wait for the fords to come out next spring.

    Nissan NV Cargo Van

I'm looking at the Nissan NV cargo vans... Anyone have opinions on them? 'm not a huge fan of Sprinters, is this a nice alternative? How are they on fuel? Is 25mpg realistic like I'm being told? The price sure isn't too bad on them.

    Anyone moving cargo vans?

I'm having some pretty good success moving my vans & straight trucks with "Movin On Express". They are near Detroit. Smaller company but lots of work since I leased on. I know they are looking for a few more vans & trucks. If anyone interested let me know, I'll give you their number.

I need a new insurance company...

I think I will give CIS a call. I don't want just cheap insurance... I just don't want to get screwed any longer. My fleet is getting pretty big now & they are raking me over the coals. I like that progressive is convinent, but not worth the big $$

I need a new insurance company...

I have had progressive for a long time, but they are way too expensive for commercial insurance. Is there a good company most expediters use? Give me a few companies worth talking to? Thanks

Looking to run cargo van with multiple companies

Panther is NOT a good company. I only want to run with multiple companies because I have a large fleet of vans & there are way too many weeks drivers sit. If I was able to use multiple companies I could keep the vans moving more. I also have Qualcom fees for 8 vans... X $35/week which comes too...

Looking to run cargo van with multiple companies

I am looking for a few good companies to run my cargo van with. I have vans on with a few companies & I get tired of the typical 2-4 days between loads. I figure if I can run with a few smaller known companies that don't require Qualcomm, my drivers & I can probably make a little more money. Let...

    Generator vs APU

Agree 100%... but what if it's an older truck & hard to justify the $8,000-$10,000 price tag of an APU?? Thats when I would consider this option

    Generator vs APU

I talked to a guy who has a honda generator hooked up to his truck & runs a portable air conditioner inside his sleeper. He also has plugs that just run off his battery, which he only uses for microwave & a little lamp. I thought this was funny, but for the price compared to a APU I wonder why...

    APU advice??

I need an APU for my truck.... Where can I find a nice used unit? I was told to stay away from rig master. What are the better units? Anyone know of any, or have one for sale? Can message me if you would like. Thanks

How many miles from a team can I expect to get? FedEx CC

My truck was a Ryder truck, I installed a sleeper. Really good condition & low miles. My team is good, still a little to learn about expediting, but they know what they are doing. I know its not about miles... but at the same time, it is. Even at $2 a mile I'm not happy with 1,000 miles a week...

How many miles from a team can I expect to get? FedEx CC

I was wondering what kind of miles I can expect to get running a good team with FedEx CC with my straight truck? I was told between 3,200-3,400 on average.... how true is this?

    FedEx Custom Critical.... Good Choice??

I am not a rookie in this business. I have been running cargo vans for 4 years & been suprisingly doing very well. I waited to move up to Straight trucks til I had the capital to do so. I thank you all for the advice & agree that Claude Lawson is the man. I will be in orientation with my team on...

    FedEx Custom Critical.... Good Choice??

I have several vans on with All State Express & I am bringing a Straight truck on with FedEx CC next week... Everything I hear seems to be pretty good about FedEx. I like they will insure my truck for a fraction of the normal cost & pay per mile seems higher. They also are going to pay ME to...

    Car Expediter (my new gig)

Is is Star Delivery? They have a new office/location just a few miles south of Grand Rapids, MI... Right near my house in Byron Center, MI. Just be careful not to run your car into the ground for pennies. I think if you get a dedicated route you can do alright. Good luck to you
