And those of us who stay are thankful for that. They can't drive in winter weather any way. We are safer with them gone.

Unfortunately, we're stuck with a buttload of people who THINK they can drive in winter weather, but really can't. Just makes me wonder how safe we are.

I'd rather hit the road from Michigan. Obligations prevent us from doing so.

The hunting and fishing is too good around here to ever leave it. There is no where else in the country where I can do the things that I enjoy doing as well as they can be done here.

There is no water on the edge of the Applechain mountains. Hunting is sorta good, unless it requires water. Fishing sucks. Hunkering is very good.

Where might that be? Are they REAL lakes or man made ones, man made don't count where I come from! LOL!! I would also bet that even IF there are walleye they are far and few between and that the diver duck hunting is almost nil.

I live next to the World's Greatest walleye fishery on the face of the globe. The Western Basin of Lake Erie. That includes the Maumee River and the Straights of Detroit, which is known as the Detroit River for those who failed geography in grade school.

Michigan has over 11,000 REAL lakes, not counting the Great Lakes and 36,000 miles of rivers and streams. We also have the second longest coastline, second only to Alaska, and that is also the longest fresh water coastline. I am spoiled!

None of our lakes can hold a candle to Michigan, but in Northwest Georgia we do have some pretty nice lakes. I've never been walleye fishing but i love bass and cat. I know of a few man made lakes but also a lot of natural lakes as well.

LOL! Just having fun. I am just SO spoiled! I lived in that area. I have fished Hartwell, Russell, Oconee, Murry and the Santee Cooper chain. Fished a few others I can't think of the names right now. They were good, for what they were.

Up home I fish for walleye and cat. I don't bother with the "black bass", don't eat 'em. Do keep a few "Silver Bass" (white bass) in the spring. I will also fish for northern pike and muskie. In the winter, when I am home, I fish for panfish through the ice, crappie, bluegills, etc.

In fall I diver duck hunt out on Lake Erie.
