Wreaths Across America 2014

For many years Load One and ARC have supported the charity Wreaths Across America. The charity started by accident a number of years ago when a wreath company in Maine had extra holiday wreaths and wanted to donate them to Arlington National Cemetery. A local trucking company offered to transport them from Maine to Washington and the charity was born. Today the effort has grown and works to place wreath on every grave site not just at Arlington but every fallen soldiers grave at every military cemetery in the US. The transportation industry is the largest supporter of this effort donating the logistics, drivers, equipment and fuel to help make this a reality. For every wreath that is purchased one is donated to the cause.

You can donate or get more information at truckloadofrespect.com or wreathsacrossamerica.org

This year we are proud to have sponsored over 500 wreaths so far as just part of our support.

As well we will be providing 4 units to help transport over 5,000 wreaths. We will be moving two truckloads to cover the military cemeteries in Alabama and Mississippi. As well we are proud to again this year have a straight truck as part of the "Convoy to Arlington". The convoy takes a week from Maine to Arlington with numerous stops and ceremonies along the way to help spread the message, remember, honor and teach. One of the special deliveries Load One has this year is a giant wreath that Dynamite1 will be delivering to the Statue of Liberty.

We will be sending our military support trailers dubbed out "Patriot Fleet" again this year. These two trailers symbolize our support of our active military and veterans. We will continue to support this cause and hope that you will as well.

We are very honored that one of our Patriot Trailers will be delivering to Arlington National Cemetery and will be part of the big ceremony there next Saturday.

As well Saturday will mark events at military cemeteries all over the country. You can go online to look for times and locations to volunteer to help place wreaths. Thank you in advance for your continued support and helping us to be not only a great company but a company that cares.

We will post pictures and videos up on our facebook page for all to see.

John,

Thank you and the entire Load One family for this effort. The sacrifice of time and resources is heartfelt. I know thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands are touched each year. 100% in the holiday spirit and 100% American!

Thank you!

Well it is truly amazing. In a few short hours 230,000 wreaths were placed at Arlington today. Over 750,000 get placed nationwide. It is a wonderful gesture of appreciation for our veterans, many who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

People have been saying that all week and it is greatly appreciated but also totally unnecessary, it is an extreme privilege and we were glad to do it. The reason for it trumps everything !!!!

Sunday, MSNBC's Taking the Hill told the story of Morrill Worcester and his vision for Wreaths Across America (WAA). Below are the four segments of the show. Segment 2 is a nod to the TCA's "Truckload of Respect" program and highlights the generosity of the trucking industry.

*** Special not on segment 3 about one minute into the video. While Load One was the truck carrying the freedom wreath to the statue of liberty, notice what logo showed up ***
