Would anyone drive for this?

We are Looking for Solo drivers with a Class B CDL. We have great opportunities for you in expediting. Complete training and support. We pay our Solo drivers 27% of the load pay and offer pay increases after 6 months and 1 year totaling 3%. We pay fuel, tolls, work accident insurance, truck washes and all repair and maintenance. Must be willing to stay out 4 weeks at a time with 1 week home time. Sign on bonuses after 6 months of continued service. Prefer you live in MI., OH., or NE IL

Isn't the norm 40%
Or did I miss something here?

Yes, 40% is the 'norm' and no, I wouldn't drive for that.

Nobody said 27 % of what ?

Could be their own freight @$1.50 per mile. Or more. Who knows ?

I handed an app back when a guy told me $11 per hour to run the road.
Later a friend told me they pay you from the time you get to the yard, right through the end of your trip. 24 hrs per day regardless of workload. $264 per day.
Had the guy explained that I would have filled out the app.

The devil is in the details.

If I remember right, it is/was a FO with a large carrier, not sure , it was/is in the classifieds.
