You all know this is a great idea, let's go back to cheaper transportation in this country and produce something that is affordable and I can fold up to put into the tool locker of my truck. Maybe if they come here and set up shop, we can get some jobs going and people like me can afford a car again.
Also you know that Ford is Jaguar and Landrover and trhe leader for the bidding is the same who is producing that car, Tata Motors. It amazes me that first the Brits would allow this and second that it is the poor country of India that actually can buy something from big bad Ford.

Tata 'NANO' - The People's Car from Tata Motors
I think it would be pretty scary on the interstate. For in city only it might be ok as a dirt cheap commuter. The deluxe model adds a/c, power locks and power windows but is still pretty plain. For a high school kid's car it might be ok too.

I seen a couple of those in Canada. I'd hate to be in an accident in one of those things....especially with a semi. I'd be toast.
Think Smart Car. I've seen one being tailgated by a semi on the 401 and it's a scary sight.
If I had more than one Tata, would people tell me I have great Tata's?
The Smart car is incredibly strong for it's size. It would probably do better in crash tests than many large cars. That said, no car is going to do well against a truck but I'd rather be in a Smart than many others. I don't get the same feeling looking at this car.
