Hell everybody im having lots of troubles these day, just dont know what to do. well it stsrts off i was working for a temp agency driving a straight truck delivering & making pickups. the route was 540 miles round trip 3 days a week the longest route they had. ive been on the route 3 1/2 - 4 months already have been doing a good job no problems. now this past month (nov) has been really bad. our clock in time is 10:30am all the drivers would usually get out the station around 11:30 or 12:00 if the paper work is ready & truck is loaded. now like i said this past month(nov) its been so bad we were leaving the station 3:30 4:00, 4:30 in the afternoon going on for like 3 weeks. since i have the longest route it takes at least 4 hours to get to my 1st stop and another hour and 50 mintues to make my other stops.
coming back home it takes me 4 1/2 hours to which basically leaves me at the station around 3:00 or 3:30 in the morning. like i said this has been going on for 3 weeks. so on my off day out the blue i get a call from the temp agency saying your asignment at ********** has ended and this just shocked me. so i ask the young lady why? what did i do? she said i dont know they just called and said your asignment has ened. im basically upset , angry anything u can name in the book. so i call the transportation supv. (he supv all the drivers) he basically tells me the operations mgr called in (she was on vacation at the time might i add) and said to let me and 2 other drivers go. so i ask why what did i do...HE TELLS ME THE NIGHT SUPV TOLD THE operations mgr that i was sleeping on the side of the road not getting the load in. which is a straight lie. because within that 3 week period we were getting out late everyday. i think this was my second night i worked 18 hour days. i had a conversation with the late night supv. i told dispatch my e.t.a would be 2:00 am so 2:00 o clock rolls around.
i didnt tell the night supv i would be late, lets say around 2:25 i received a call on the company phone asking where am i. i tell the night supv im a hour away. HE SAYS WHAT AN HOUR AWAY. WHY IS THAT? SO I TELL HIM LISTEN WE LEFT THE STATION LATE TODAY IM TIRED IM DRIVING OFF THE ROAD I HAD TO PULL OVER AT A REST STOP. NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT SLEEPING OR FALLING ASLEEP. WHAT I DID WAS THREW SOME COLD WATER ON MY FACE GOT SOMETHING TO DRINK went back in the truck sat there for like 20 min and than drove off. anyway the night supv says ok i understand that but u have to call me u have to call me. i tild him ok sorry about that my mistake i should have called it wont happen again and we both hung up. but what boggles my mind is why did i get fired 3 1/2 weeks after that incident it doesnt make any sense.another thing that boggles my mind i spoke with the operations mgr previous to having that incident and she even admitted that the drivers never get out earlier so she knows this. even when we had a meeting she even made a joke about it.
BACK TO THE OP MGR I CALL HER TODAY BECAUSE i been trying to reach her for the longest. finally i get ahold of her and i ask.
WHAT WAS THE REAL REASON I GOT FIRED I CANT UNDERSTAND THIS I WAS DOING MY JOB?
SHE SAYS WE WASNT DOING YOUR JOB ON TIME WITH A NASTY ATTITUDE. I RESPOND WITH WHAT DAY WAS THIS?

THE THING IS I HAVE ALL MY LOG BOOKS AND PAPERWORK WHICH PROVES I WAS DOING MY JOB AND SHOWS WHEN WE LEFT LATE OR EARLY AND IM SURE IF WE MATCH THEM UP WITH OTHER DRIVERS LOGS BOOK IT WOULD SHOW THE SAME THING. ANOTHER THING IS THAT THE OTHER DRIVER THAT SHARES THE ROUTE WITH ME HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH GETTING BACK LIKE 4 O CLOCK IN THE MORNING AND HE NEVER GOT FIRED
ITS SEEMS TO ME SHE FIRES PEOPLE LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE BECAUSE OF PERSONAL FEELINGS AND ITS NOT RIGHT NOT AT ALL. I 'VE DONE EXCELLENT WORK ON THAT ROUTE THATS WHY I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY..
