Sure but there are problems with these types of deals for the owner. People become lazy when given a guarantee. Not all of course but many do. As soon as promised earnings are in place it becomes a different game. Lets say if running on a percentage a truck could run 15 loads a week, now with a guarantee in place they only seem to be able to manage 11 runs a week. There is cost in retention and going through 6 trucks to find the one that runs hard on promised dollars is a cost to the business owner that has to be accounted for.
