Winter Storm

Anyone traveling through the upper 1/3 of the "mitten" of Michigan or parts of the "Upper" WATCH OUT!!! Gaylord has already got 7" of SNOW on the ground and parts of the UP might get more than that.

Beware of the high winds around SE Michigan and most likely the Toledo area. We have a strong winter (South West) wind blowing, in excess of 25 MPH. It will be cutting across I75 at a bad angle.

They were just saying on the local weather that the winds were sustained at 20-25MPH with gusts near 50MPH. Your trucks will be rockin if you are around here today.

Snow in Michigan this time of year is rather normal. It is not an every year thing but it does happen often.

Same system was in SD 2 days ago...a fast moving thing it is...here today, gone tomorrow..

This is our second day with it. Yesterday brought severe storms and the odd tornado. Today the low it self is tracking across the Mackinac Straits and we are getting the wind/rain/snow from that low now. That should pull out by late this evening. Then the cold sets in. Lows below freezing tomorrow night in the Detroit area.

It will be a LOT better here tomorrow. Much lighter winds, some sun but cold for this time of year.

And you can keep that darn snow and cold winds...I'll get rains for the rest of the week, but today it's sunny and I WILL be planting all my pretty flowers on the deck. And my radishes and white onions have broken through the ground already...the signs of spring...oh yeahhh!!!!!

Wow, snow in may!? It is quite Chilly in NY today. Not snow weather, but more like mid to late Fall weather
