Wii Fit

We have had the Wii Fit for a little over a month now and we are seeing results that are very positive. We have found areas of balance we have neglected while driving the truck and with the Wii Fit are working on improving. The Wii Fit is a harsh task master and does not let you slide at all with any excuses, you either have balance are you do not. There are a few exercises that we cannot do in the truck due to lack of room but the other exercises make up for it.
Within this month we have seen our resulting scores steadily get better as our balance improves. We are more inclined to exercise when we can stay a little cooler and close to the truck. The games are fun and present a challenge to get through and you do not think about the fact you are working muscles you have let go dormant. We have also found it is great fun to challenge each other and laugh over many of our mishaps! We have found when Ski Jumping and turning into a snowball we just have to laugh at each other.
With fall approaching we are looking forward to getting our bikes out once again and I know that my knees will be better prepared for this adventure. I also feel as if our balance will be much improved to start riding the bikes.
We are very happy to finally be exercising steadily in the truck and seeing the results.

I spent a week with my sister a few weeks and she has a wii. She doesn't have the wii fit, but she does have the wii sports. We played alot of tennis and boxing. If you really get into those games you would be surprised how much of a cardio workout you end up getting. I had alot of fun with it.

We also have had the Wii for about a month. I started looking for it soon after it came out. But, everytime I'd get to the store I was missing the Fit by a day, once the last one sold 10 minutes before I got there. I ended up buying a "new" unopened one on Ebay. I LOVE IT!! Before I started driving 2years ago I worked out almost everyday. I have a hard time sleeping nights because I have no release for my energy (or have none and just exausted and restless) I use the Fit and sport everyday unless we are on the move. It has helped so much in getting rid of the restless feeling and I sleep better, feel better and I have more energy. I have to modify some of the moves, and some can't be done in the truck but not enough to worry about becauses there are so many other ones that work the same area's of the body, so your not miss out on anything. We have a 20" flat screen TV..

I take it there is a competetive spirit in FDCC D6077. If nothing else it seems like it would be a great way to kill time between loads.

Well, y'all have convinced me, there is something the tv is good for, lol (besides watching DVD movies). So where can I get one, when I'm ready to splurge again?

Well, they are hard to find. Every time we entered into a town for the day. I would google the stores around using the zip code. Then I would call and ask if they have one. Our son found the console for me because one of this friends in the AF didn't want to take it with him. THe Wii Fit, I had to get off E-bay. Good luck with your search.

The Wii and Wii Fit I think are starting to get easier to find we were in southern Louisiana and found several of both at a Wal-mart. Just have to keep checking in the electronics.

Bob and I have always been somewhat competitive. We used to race Odysseys and I quickly found that power puff was very boring so moved up into his class! We were always able to ride together home after a race and I can promise you we did not give each other any breaks and we both won our share of races.

Well yes I was on the dance floor in Florida and I did have a blast but really that has not happened in many years! Who will ever be able to listen to that Meatloaf song again and not think of that couples rendition of it! What a great evening that was.

I will have to check my snowboarding scores and I agree that is tough and I always move the wrong way. I tried snowboarding in real life as the kids told me it was so much easier then skiing ya right I had the same problems!

I will have to check our tight rope scores as I am usually leaning one way or the other with sweat pouring from me! Bob is pretty good at that one and can jump those stupid teeth.

$500.00. Saw it yesterday. only on line though,

I think you can find the Wii and Wii Fit cheaper now then 500.00. We just saw everything in Wal-Mart the Wii is about 250.00 and the Wii Fit was 89.00.
I wonder though if they will all get hard to find once it gets closer to Christmas?

I agree with Linda. They have been in Wal-mart and Target lately. I also recieve an email from Circuit City that they have them available, I believe you also can pre-order them if they are not instock. Also, just my thought if buying one for someone for Christmas I would shop for one now. Thinking back on how PSP 2 was just 2 years ago. we couldn't even find one after christmas.
Have you played the boxing in Sport? What a work out!! or what... I got a stiff neck from it... But I did it for hrs and got really far..

I bet you were very sore! The boxing has made me the most sore of any game and I enjoy it. My favorite is hitting the punching bag and knocking it off the rope. I do ok at the guy throwing the balls at you but I must admit when I am trying to hit his mitts in the next game I take perverse pleasure in "missing" and smacking him in the face! I do get frustrated at hitting the mitts though as my hits just do not seem to go where I aim them. Out of all the Wii games the boxing seems to be the worst at not doing what you think it should do. I think when we get home we are going to get another num chuck and try boxing each other! Now that should be a hoot.

Its a blast!!!We have so much fun at it.... I really enjoy it expecially since I do really good at KO.... I can't help but laugh when I KO Jasons mii..... it shouldn't be to bad in the truck we have enough room to stand side by side. (we haven't done it in the truck yet)This is my fav. thing to do. Its a better work out when both of us are fighting...together. We (I) just want to keep going and really put everythng into my swings.. (grin)... ok fusteration release?? (joking, just lots of fun and doing it together is a great insentive to keep going and going...)
I have not been able to see if my DDR is going to work with the Wii.. Hopefully I will by next week.

Ok I have to brag!! Bob has always been able to beat me at soccer but the other day I relaxed and just concentrated on the TV. I missed one ball on the beginner level and was not hit by any flying shoes or panda heads! Score 500 and I had to go get Bob to come look at the screen.

We have been pretty busy lately so we have not had time to exercise as often as I would like. When at home we played on our daughters Wii Fit and I have to admit carpet really makes the game a lot harder I will take our wood floors any day of the week!
