But what many are not getting is that there's no way a Bag of Candy and Iced Tea could've created the injuries Zimmerman sustained........
The whole case centers around whether Zimmerman had a right to defend himself or not, of WHICH IS CLEARLY THE CASE here.
As Turtle points out, the whole case centers around who initiated the confrontation. Zimmerman can't claim self defense [even if he was getting his donkey seriously kicked] if he was the aggressor. No one witnessed the actual fight, so there's no way to know how it started - could be Zimmerman went to pull his weapon, and Martin jumped on him before he could get it out, which makes Martin the one defending himself.
It's a 'he said, she said' situation, and the thing is that nearly everything Zimmerman said [and did] makes it appear that his errors in judgement caused a death, and there's nothing to indicate that Martin did anything wrong at all.
Forget all that "Stalking" crap, that "Profiling" crap, that being told to not protect his neighborhood by someone who did not have the Authority to tell him not too......and so on.
He was told not to follow the "suspicious person" by one who certainly had the authority: the 911 dispatcher.
The person who had no authority in this case is Zimmerman, who wasn't a Neighborhood Watch member [the official organization said so, in no uncertain terms.] Presenting ones self as such doesn't confer authority to approach anyone walking down the sidewalk to ask what they're doing in the neighborhood, even if Zimmerman thought so. Maybe you'd have responded with pleasant cooperation, but most [including me] would not have.
This Information above should have the Justice System DROPPING everything they are bothering Zimmerman with, APOLOGIZING, and then leaving him the hell alone.
Clearly a case of 1 man beating another man into submission and the one that was receiving the beating end acted in self defense. The Sanford PD made the RIGHT CALL that night....and these Medical Records prove it.
The records prove only that Zimmerman received injuries - [and BTW: these records are from Zimmerman's visit to his own Dr the day after, to get a 'return to work' slip - at the scene, he refused the offer of transport to a medical facility, and was seen by the EMTs on scene.]
Now why am I in disgust over the lack of coverage this above has received so far???? Well, when the "Tape" that showed Zimmerman in the Police Station was released, we all heard about it non-stop because the news organizations were screaming "What Injuries????" "We Don't See No Stinkin' Injuries."
We still haven't seen anything that says Zimmerman didn't start the whole thing, and quite a bit that says he did.
Zimmerman was being beaten by a Thug Punk and Zimmermans actions to save his life ended the life of that Thug Punk. Case Closed.....End of Story.....Leave the Guy Alone.
Getting your donkey beat and then being charged with homicide is a tough way to learn the stupidity of acting upon unfounded assumptions, but it's a lesson Zimmerman needed to learn, apparently.
It's truly pitiful that other people will make the same dumb mistake, cause they just don't get it.
