Who on here runs local / regional?

My name is Jeff. I run emergency freight shipments locally and regionally (within the state of Florida) for several freight forwarders and courier companies. I know there are a few of us on here that are not over the road. Just wanted to do a check in and see who runs locally, where you are, and what type of company you work with. Also, what type of vehicle you run? Do you run a route or rush/hotshot/expedite freight?

I run all of the Above except a Route in Cleveland Ohio for a Small Logistics Company and Do Expedite for a Company out of Toledo.

Well I do all the above as well although routes are when requested by a customer (fill in for company drivers when ill/hurt/fired whatever).

based in the Toronto area.

Currently have a Sprinter and GM 3500 vans

Quite a bit of regional loads mixed other types

I run all over but return home after each delivery because all my customers are local. I run a cargo van and have my own authority.

I am going into my third year running a local route for Ford via Ryder Logistics. I also have my own authority and do things with that as I can and plan to do my own thing full time when the current contract runs out.

I run a 22 foot expediter. Freightliner. I run the Ohio area with runs anywhere when Ford is down or off.

I run local in Northern Ohio and regional expedite (Midwest) for a small expedite company based in the Akron/Canton Ohio area. No routes per se, but there are some regional runs that our company makes on a daily basis.

Like Rod I often return home after a run (but not always) since our customer base is largely in this area.

I'm running a long tall Sprinter 2500.
