Greg, this is a little of your subject but I heard on one of my talk channels about using flash drive technology in new computers. This is supposed to really help the lap top industry and make a tougher computer. What have you heard on this and what do you think?

I just built a 2TB RAID (4 X 500GB) in my file server, so the 1TB drive will have to wait until late '08 when I build my next box.
Tempting, though.
Hoping the next-gen optical drives will become more vogue by them, HardOCP indicates they'll be around 2TB per disc, nice backup capability there.

I can remember when everyone wanted to know why do we need 1 meg, and then why would anyone need a gig?
