Who in the heck does this arrogant son of a bum think he is? He will testify, as often as the People, the congress, tell him too, AND, before what ever committee requires him too! Geez oh petes already, this BUM, and all others like him, are EMPLOYEES! Public SERVANTS! This attitude alone should cause him to be fired.

These people are SO out of control! It is SO far past time for cleaning house!

[h=1]Kerry: I’ll testify on Benghazi, but only to one House committee[/h]

I'm not sure why they are even talking to him? Either he will give a political answer or play dumb. Since he wasn't in that position at the time, I wouldn't expect much.

A member of the Executive Branch I would presume ...

He will testify, as often as the People, the congress, tell him too, AND, before what ever committee requires him too!
As a member of the Executive Branch it's his prerogative to decline an invitation to testify.

Congress can always compel an appearance via subpoena if it really wants him there.

Declining to testify however kind of goes against the whole transparency thing. You know, one of the themes they ran on, and claimed that they would be the most.

That assumes good intent on the part of those holding hearings, and an absence of pure partisan politics ... something given Issa's actions is questionable at best ...

SURPRISE, DARRELL ISSA'S NEW BENGHAZI REVELATION NOT NEW OR A REVELATION

by GARY LEGUM

Rancid beef jerky stick Darrell Issa has allegedly been in a snit over the new House Select Committee to investigate BENGHAAAAZI!!!11!!! because it bigfoots the investigations he has been chairing as head of the House Oversight Committee. Not that he doesn’t want to get to the bottom of the worst dereliction of duty since the Battle of Cannae … he just wants to get there first in the hope that the resultant glory will shine brightly enough to keep people from noticing he has the moral character of a feral sewer rat.

Thus we had the spectacle yesterday of Issa leaking to his personal valet Jonathan Karl a new email that was supposed to show some malfeasance or other, but instead seemed to actually support the Obama administration’s contention that it thought from the very beginning that the Benghazi attack had been motivated by the YouTube video Innocence of Muslims. Whoops, that’s not the narrative the wingnuts have been pushing at full volume for almost two years.

Sayeth Hot Karl:

A still-classified State Department e-mail says that one of the first responses from the White House to the Benghazi attack was to contact YouTube to warn of the “ramifications” of allowing the posting of an anti-Islamic video […]

The memo suggests that even as the attack was still underway — and before the CIA began the process of compiling talking points on its analysis of what happened — the White House believed it was in retaliation for a controversial video.

Naturally, Issa claims this new revelation actually proves that even before the attack was over, the administration was rushing to settle on a "false narrative." Between rushing to set up this false narrative and stopping the military to rush off to Benghazi to effect a rescue, we’re wondering when Barack Obama even had time for the gay-sex-and-coke orgy.

The best part of yesterday’s story is that, as Media Matters points out, this is not actually a new revelation. Jonathan Karl's own network, ABC, reported just two days after the attack that the White House had reached out to YouTube to call the video to the company’s attention and suggest that it might violate YouTube’s terms of service and therefore could it be taken down, pretty please?

We guess that's the saving grace for the Republicans – this news is two years old but still hasn’t derailed the wingnuts' belief that there is a scandal hidden somewhere in this rejected Ridley Scott movie pitch. Still, we like to imagine Trey Gowdy spent much of the day alternately throwing furniture around his office in an apoplectic fit and trying to find someone who would tie a brick to Darrell Issa's **** and drop him in the middle of the Potomac. That would be the best House of Cards ever.
Surprise, Darrell Issa's New Benghazi Revelation Not New Or A Revelation

I'm pretty sure that if anyone was 'investigating' the same thing for the 40th time, I'd decline to participate too. And suggest an investigation into their cognitive abilities was more likely to be useful to the citizens who pay their salaries.

They still need to pursue it because at this point, no one has been accountable and a whole lot of story telling going on. It took a private group to get a release via a court order just to get the emails and the chain of events. That is why it is dragging on.
When the White House refuses to provide information, it is going to drag out. Transparency is not this administrations strong suit. Every week it is a new scandal. Issa doesn't help, but hopefully Gowdy will get the facts.

This is being covered up, by both parties, just like the mess in Iran was, and is.

No matter the politics, Kerry is an EMPLOYEE and has two choices, do as he is told, or leave. There will NEVER be an honest accounting for what took place. Government protects itself. They are the elite and see NO reason to be held accountable for ANY of their actions.

Maybe, but up to this point, All I heard was people thanking each other for their service and are clueless as to how it all happened. That is why you have so many hearings.

True once they figure out what happened and who is accountable, then that should be it. The idea that Hillary suddenly hit her head and disappeared for a month is laughable.

So who was "held accountable" for 9-11? Compared to Benghazi, one would expect a massive cleanup of incompetent officeholders, but that didn't happen, did it?
It's dragging on because the Republicans can't accept an answer they didn't want to hear, period.
