Who do you want for president?

Who would you pick for president from any politicians past or present?

I would say Reagan because of his economic track record or Washington since I think we need to get back to the basics.

Any celebrities?

I would go with Jon Voight.

Any EO members?

For me I would think either chefdennis, OVM, Ragman, Hawk, or EnglishLady could get the country back on what I consider the right track in one way or another. Not a complete list here I think there are others but I would say those are the top.

I don't know many politicians that have their head on straight.

Which is why I would not choose any politicians in MY Presidency

I would throw them all out and start from scratch ....... you want to change your mind now Paullud?

Calvin Coolige would be my pick. Arguably, he was the last true fiscal conservative to sit in the Oval office.

That's how far back one has to go to find an administration under which spending was kept in check which in turn allowed for the retirement of a quarter of the national debt.

She may not qualify legally but I think she would do well, she is tough, holds her own in a male dominated industry, and she posts a lot of news articles so you know she pays attention to what is going on in the world.

Calvin Coolidge was a small government president, he did decrease income tax but he created the gift tax and raised the estate tax.

The deep reductions he made in the income tax more than offset the implementation of the gift tax and raising of the estate tax. The premise behind these moves was the broadening of the tax base and a lower tax burden, per capita.

Politicians though don't live in our world ..... they tell you stories at election time, and, when voted in, they change their story
