Yeah, that was certainly the first question that popped into my head when I read the government was shut down. <snort>
Jut so you know, the White House Executive Chef is still on the job during the shutdown, but her 4 sous chefs, the Assistant Executive Chef (Sam Kass, Executive Director of Let’s Move! and Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition Policy), and and the White House Executive Pastry Chef and his sous chefs have been furloughed.

I agree with you that visiting World Leaders and Dignitaries should be satisfied with a Hungry Man Fried Chicken Dinner or Domino's delivery just as the rest of us eat.

I would truly have more respect for the current residents if that were the case. Cheerios for breakfast. PB&J for lunch, maybe Fritos on the side. Burgers on the grill for dinner. And POTUS flipping those burgers. LOL!!
