I've just got to rush right out and see about one of these. With all the new trucks on the market to see one set up so brilliantly with a 36" flattop sleeper! Let me at it.

They kind of take me back to 1991-2 time frame.
It looks like everything old is new again.

"Retro" could be the new rage in expediter trucks. (NOT)

that is actually the perfect setup for a company like Eagle Global or Pilot air where most of the runs are local but it would also allow you to take a "hot shot" and still have a place to take a nap while waiting for the plant to open.

I like it.........

I drove a business class freightliner with a sleeper like that on it. I had to stand on the bed bent oner just above the waist in this weird yoga position to put on my pant, or put them on while laying down. It had a shelf on each end of the bed. My frig was in the passenger seat. To make things worse the owner tried to get the bright idea of getting me a co-driver. I felt like i was in an rv when I stepped up to the 70 inch on the century class.:+

Yep, looks like a money making truck to me. Light, efficient, economical. simple. If you want to go camping. Get a Winnebago.

Tuesday afternoon I was fueling at the TA in Willington,CT and the guys at the adjacent pump, in a FECC "D" unit w/96" condo, were commenting about "how tough it must be to have to live in a 48" sleeper for 3-4 weeks at a crack". I told them it's pretty easy as "it's a 51" and I'm home every weekend"! (BIG GRIN smiley face goes here!)

It's really about having the right tool for the job. Not everyone needs a condo. I wish straight trucks could be 45'long, like RVs. I could make quite a bit more $$ each trip with a 31' box!

I am in a 72" and had the same comment from a big FedExcc couple. I did about the same thing. The difference was I said "well I work 12 hours a day, about four of that watching tv or on computerand home every night. I wasable to go a little better in that I had settlement stubs with me and when they doubted my weekly income, I was able to show them and then asked if they would want me to put a good word in for them. Not that I would have or that it would have done any good. My gig is coming to hault. So I took the time to brag one last time. As I will be back to wanting a big ole RV soon, I think. LoL
