Where is the freight? A lot of it has been in our trucks this week. I'm hoping this continues.

The best thing about EO is you can be sure that if ONE person says it is slow, somebody is going to post that he has never been busier. That's why most people won't ask the simple question "is anybody seeing a decrease in freight at this time?" Why would anybody?

We all know the answer to the question "How do you know if a driver is lying?" "His mouth is moving". lol

We are into the heart of the traditional busy period, so those numbers don't impress me....what does look really good is the increase in the rates....too bad the flat raters won;t see any of that money...

Are you not doing well or not doing as well as you like?

Quote, May Report from Sylectus:

Line-haul revenue per mile in 2008 varied from $1.50 to $1.60 per mile. In 2009 the Line-haul revenue per mile slipped as low as $1.25 before rebounding to the mid $1.40 range. 2011 ended the year nicely, and 2012 has started as the strongest five month period ever, even surpassing the 2008 high months that were affected by the spike in the price of fuel. The total revenue per mile for the month of April 2011 was an average of $2.03; for April 2012, the average was $2.15 total revenue per mile.

The info provided by Sylectus needs to be clarified for expediters on EO beyond the numbers reflecting increasing line-haul revenue.

At first glance the year over year rate increases look wonderful, but if you could breakdown the type of truck order/freight load offered inside the Sylectus system I believe you would see a large increase in tractor trailer loads run by Sylectus customers as “Sylectus the Company” added more and more of these types of Carrier/Broker companies as customers year over year.

Simply put, Mr. Sutton needs to break down the line haul revenue by truck type ordered to make it clear how much rates have changed in a truck category.

Its the REALITY BASED truckers theyve stolen the freight, and opened a new freight terminal at the Old Area 51....With Tectonic transfer and Radio Flyer trailers the new Reality Based Trucker is leaving the Non Traditional trucker behind.....and with the Upturn of Misbehavin correlated by increased oil changes the Sylectus downturn is revealed.....
