When I was 17

There is a GREAT Song out about Writing Yourself a letter today that you could slip under your bed and you would read it back when you were 17.

Would that not be COOL.

So I ask you this were you Positive back than about what the Future held for you? What would you change, stayed away from Drugs, Alchol? Or maybee you were smart enough to already do that. Studied Harder, gotten that free Education? Maybee you passed up a few opportunities that you wished you could have back.

Or just maybee everything worked out for a Reason and be THANKFULL for what you have and did not have?

Are you really happy now? Do you enjoy this? Is this what you want to do?

Let us Hear I would love to see your answers.

PS I really like what I do, I still miss my Bride but this is more my style home every weekend and doing very well. What more could I ask for? Got my Health, good Attitude, and Great FRIENDS. life is good, very good, hope it is for you as well.

I did all that - stayed off drugs, got the free education (GI Bill) - and look at me now. I'm a truck driver!

I would tell myself to stay in college the first time you start and don't quit. I could be graduating in May. Oh well I don't let it get me down.

Appreciate the compliment Broom. As for how I did anything?
You got a pretty good idea.
Probably isn't much I do that doesn't have a level of risk associated with it.

It's amazing how one decision can change the rest of your life. For me, it was going back to Michigan, rather than staying in TN. I took the easy way out, and that I regret. Other than that, I just wish I'd met my woman about 10 years earlier. Everything is good!

One can't help but wonder sometimes what could've been better, but then some things may have ended up WAY worse. So all-in-all, I would have to say that I would gladly go through some of the bad stuff again to have the good stuff I have now. :D

Happy now? You bet'cha! How many people sit in a cubicle all day or run a machine in a shop dreaming about what it would be like to wander around the lower 48 for a living? Yes sir, livin' the dream. Heck, I got to spend the weekend in Bordentown, N.J. Is that livin' large or WHAT?!?

I tend to go with the "things happen for a reason" view of life, although I sometimes have a hard time getting that to make sense. That's usually related to some poor choice I've made, and I've made a few. Health? Well, I'm in pretty good shape for the shape I'm in. I've got 2 sons I'm proud of. The wolf is a pretty good distance from the door. People seem happy to see me when I go home.

Yep, it's all good! I'll take it.

Jeff... appreciate the offer. As much as I've enjoyed my runs to FL, I think I'll stay in MI for now. Not my choice. LOL

Funny how we bought our house 5 yrs ago, and now it's worth less than what we owe. Thank you Comrade Cocopuff!!! And the stuff happening in Detroit with Mayor Qwami the Swami Kilpatrick... It's always an adventure in Michigan!

Life is Good!

I know at 17 Bob and I never had this in mind for our future! Bob was into race cars and I was into race horses neither planning on getting married and having kids right away. Someone else had a better plan for us and we have no complaints we have been very lucky and very fortunate.
