What's up with this truck??

I've seen two of these types of set-ups lately.

It looks like a Transformer truck. Just a bob tail with no stretch that has a box on the back and becomes a C unit. Can it be "transformed" back to a bob tail and become an E unit??
Makes me wonder about the possibilities. First one looked funny when I saw it in the lot. Box was probably 12 ft.

Anyone drive something like this?

Is this your truck?

Like to hear the advantages or disadvantages?

Am I seeing it wrong??

That is definitely strange looking. Is the box even 12' long? I think every load I've had since Labor Day would have fit in 12' but it's still mighty strange looking.

I've seen something like this. Its a small box - 12-15'? With a HUGE sleeper, like the movers have.
Would kinda make sense as the loads we have had since Feb would fit in a 12-15' box also.
Heck, we'd get one of those and sell the house!
Beat paying someone to mow the lawn....

it looks to be a 16' box to me, everyone in expediting is on a budget whether new or experienced, I'm with the Moose on this one, Kudo's to them for keeping their truck ready for either with just some u bolts and wiring.;)

I seen something like this last week, it was also a FedEx truck and I heard these may be part of that exceptions to the rules thing.
