Pilot and Love's, sometimes T/A
1. Pilot---There are a lot of them on the road and I won free coffee for a year, showers are ok, well kind of gross a lot of times, but ok.
2. Love's---- Since I pay by CC for fuel, they have the pump start program which is very cool, there are quite a few Love's out here and the showers seem to be cleaner than the above.
3. T/A---- I don't know why but I never fell in love with them, showers are nice, takes less fuel to get one, I don't know why I always liked the Pilots and Love's more though.

I fuel at the J cause it's generally cheaper. Since I pay cash, there's no credit price. And, they let me take 400 out of the machine.
I like the fast food of Loves and Pilot. Love the menu and buffet at Petro. Love that chicken at Popeye's at TA. Rarely eat the laxative at the J.

Mainly TA's, HUGE discount. That is the only reason.

Petro- it seems I get better fuel mileage, and my filters stay cleaner longer.Food is awesome.Showers are great.
T/A-From the fuel discount I get, it adds up pretty fast. Their food has gotten alot better since being owned by the same co. as the Petro, Hospitality Management.Showers seem to have that dirty look and feel to them, and their shower heads suck.
Pilot, Loves- about the same to me.Alot of cheap hot food at the Pilot.I dont drink coffee, so I don't know about that.
Flying J-Their food sucks, showers are alright,fuel seems to be decent, even though our fuel card does not allow Flying J fuel.Alot more freindlier of a setup for van drivers, though.And I think they should allow s/t's to park out front,if they dont idle their trucks.

Until the J takes Comdata again, I won't really be back. They do have clean showers almost all of the time.

Not wanting to start another thread just to answer one simple question ...
this week , and for the first time , the clark at the Flying Jay swap my card for money earned in fueling .
don't they send the paper J$'s home no more ? , can we redeem J cash using the card now ?

if the J have a low sulfur Diesel fuel , i fuel at the J . and my big truck gets way better fuel millage .
looks like J fuel gets me bad fuel millage unless it is the 'old fuel'
sometimes i fuel 101 gal. @ the J , just to get ahead with that extra shower .
the long haul allow me to plan ahead , so i use my fuel optimization system to find the best places to fuel EnRoute.
Tho'w , many times the TSweb show a lower price then what is found at the pump .
i have a 'no go' list of places i got hot fuel in , and will not fuel there in the winter time .

It's the hook for me, but not by choice their gas stinks. Only cause I get the shower credit for every 15gal of fuel. I tried the expediter king thru TA but it seems as though they couldn't get that program rolling. I got my card, but noone at the TA's seem to be aware of the program and the card doesn't work on the gas pumps. A worthless piece of plastic.

The "J"...free showers and their pizza isn't bad...and i get it free a few times a month with the coupons they mail home....makes eating and driving late at night a bit easier....
I too tried the TA's Expedite King program and and found that their rollout at the stores was less then good, no one had any idea about it......
Pilot would be 2nd when i need a shower and have to pay, their coffee is good and they are friendly to the CV...
Loves is not on my screen unless i have to and i'll buy gas most anywhere including the corner carryout that has fuel pumps before i buy anything at a Loves....

Why is that?
We use TA's and Petro only and no others if we can help it, because of the fuel discount and the fuel mileage is better.
We don't use the Flying J because because the don't take Com Data and they now are owned by Pilot.
We used Pilot only when we was at FedEx but we kept replacing fuel injectors. So we don't use them anymore and told our drivers since we pay for the fuel if they buy fuel at Pilot they will have the cost taken out of their settlement if they do.
Loves we really don't go there either. Makes me think of Pilot and all the injectors I replaced.
