What is a Panther Premier Driver?

Just curious. I saw a Panther E-unit parked today and on the side of the cab was a sign that said "Panther Premier Driver." What does that mean? I would have asked the driver but the cab was buttoned up.

Blue Volvo?

I don't think so, but to be honest, I don't even remember the tractor type or color. It was just a truck. It was the sticler that stood out to me. Sighting was this afternoon at Beto Junction, KS, TA.

I've only seen 2 panther trucks with that sticker and one was a cargo van.

It didn't mean much to me whether I hit the goal or not. I wasn't going to run short loads or reduced long loads to make it so I never worried about reducing income to get a $5 sticker.

A hustler, team player willing to make sacrifices for Panther, who probably stays out months at a time, or lives in a good frieght zone. Someone who knows how to work thier system, someone who is dependable, and the saftey department can trust...Someone who understands that if Panther is profitable, then they will also be profitable.

It is a way to avoid paying better rates. Ok making an edit. It is a nice gesture.

Fixed it for you!

I see your carrier has started something similar. I didn't think John needed to play games to attract and retain O/Os. I once was approached by a Covenant driver that wanted to by some fuel from my company truck's tanks. A few times I have had O/O's looking to buy fuel from me, but never a company driver. I questioned him about this, his reply was he wanted to qualify for the quarterly mpg contest so he had a shot a winning a 12 volt television for his truck. I hope Covenant named this desperate moron "Driver Of The Year" and gave him a T-shirt and sticker for his truck. He deserved the recognition.
