Last June, Panther was purchased by ABF. Very little has been said in the Open Forum about changes in the company since then.
Last year, Bradley Jacobs purchased Express-1. Similarly, very little has been said in the Open Forum about changes in the company since then.
For those of you who run with these carriers, and for those of you who may have information:
- What changes, if any, have you seen in these carriers since they were bought out?
- What kind of staff changes, if any, have you seen?
- What changes, if any, have you seen with contractors in the fleet?
- What changes, if any, have you seen with fleet owners in the fleet?
- How has the freight changed, if at all?
- What changes in day-to-day operations have you experienced?
- Have rates paid to trucks gone up, down or stayed the same?
- What new policies, if any, have been announced?
- What old policies, if any, have been dropped?
- What technology changes, if any, have you seen in your trucks or in the office?
- You don't need to identify customers by name, but have you seen any significant changes in the customers you serve? Have any major accounts been gained or lost since the buyout?
- Are there other changes in the companies not touched on above?
